The Hotel Giardinetto has been within the Primatesta family since Luciano Primatesta founded it as an Inn in 1930. Its continuous evolution has made it a point of reference for the hospitality industry on Lake Orta, as well as further afield. The hotel lies directly on the beautiful shores of the romantic lake in an oasis of nature, it's the ideal destination for relaxation and enjoying the surroundings. It has all the standards of a modern hotel, but with its own charm, a breathtakingly view and the thoroughly romantic environment of the lake. The hotel has very comfortable rooms, an outdoor pool (for those who don't wish to swim in the lake) along with a little private beach. The restaurant with its unique terraces directly on the water, has become famous for its regional and creative cuisine as well as for its wine cellar with over 450 Italian, French and International labels.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Book a lake view if you can. Waking to the sound of the water lapping is bliss. Watch out for the fish from your balcony. The food is excellent with plenty of choice available.

Let down by my local coach firm! Travelled by air and train - Milano Centrale a nightmare! Met at the Station - thanks - stunning view - you really need a car - breakfast superb - coffee to die for - more fruit please! Only ate once and a pea soup unrivalled! Ferry superb once you get the hang of it as it berths by the hotel - avoid Omeglia - so, here we go - hugs to Stephanie, Vera, Antonio, Max, Layla xxx, Camillia, Luke, Emmanuel, Francesca, Sabrina, Valentina, Elena, Sionana (?) homesick for you….

The hotel itself is very nice and the views are fabulous. However the hotel location quite rural and is not near any facilities, so you can’t walk to a local restaurant etc or shops. Rooms very small also. The real downside of this hotel was the staff. They were rude and the service was slow. One of the waiters clearly had BO which was unpleasant when you’re eating! We were refused bar food that they served to the Italian guests ten minutes previously! Only when we pointed this out did they decided to serve us! The roof bar was closed as was was the swimming pool. The bar man didn’t have any knowledge of wines and made such a meal of preparing a simple G&T it was quite bizarre! Wouldn’t stay here again!

A bit disappointing, staff didn’t seem to be bothered . Not a bad location but fairly unfriendly , small rooms, bar staff poor and when asked reception about snacks said we should go out as they didn’t do them when family at next table just had pizza and cheese/meat selection. We had stayed in Lake Como previously and probably the wonderful service there meant that it was a hard act to follow but sadly this hotel didn’t even try. Very disappointing.

Beautiful location on lake off Orta, only a short drive from Orta San Guilio. Friendly service, good food. We dined in the restaurant for dinner one evening. The salad was not very exciting, manly lettuce and a few figs. But the main courses were excellent, and service very attentive and friendly. Breakfast Buffet was ok, not lavishing but ok. Would definitely return for a visit.

Lovely room looking across the lake and staff were great, food was brilliant everything was lovely would stay again if traveling that way. Only negative when purchasing items instead of giving room number person should sigh receipt to save confusion when paying bill we were charged for items we did not purchased.

The Hotel Giardinetto is long established and family run. the service, staff, food and outlook were all excellent. i can't praise it enough and can recommend it strongly. We were able to take the lake ferry boat to other towns which made out stay more interesting. Out room overlooked the lake which gave us a wonderful view of the mountains and we joyed just sitting n the balcony watching the ducks and fishing boats.

Lovely friendly hotel with large menu and very good food at reasonable prices. We ate lunch and dinner on the outside terrace with beautiful lake views. Our peaceful lakeside room had a balcony and was quieter than rooms facing the road, I imagine. I used the pool and swam from the jetty in the lake. It's very easy and cheap to get the public ferry from right outside the hotel to the lovely old town of Orta San Guilia and to the island in the lake. Overall, we had a lovely couple of days here and would definitely return.

Simply our favourite place on this earth. Restaurant is stunning, with impeccable service and amazing put together menu. Tasting menus as well with pairing wines makes a fun evening. The cheese trolley also makes my husband happy. Views. Boat stop right there. Rooftop bar amazing (closed on Wednesdays) Love our stays

❤Tradition, hospitality, view, delicious food and wines, lake, private beach, close to Milan and Turin, and outlets.. I stayed 2 times at Hotel Giardinetto.. If I have chance ı am sure that it will be 3rd,4th.. I think Lake Orta and Hotel Giardinetto are secret places in İtaly..❤
