I chose this hotel based on photos and previous reviews, but unfortunately the hotel did not meet my expectations, there are positive aspects and others to correct:
positive : friendly owner and also available to give advice on the area and
overall nice structure
negatives: very noisy room because it overlooks the lake but unfortunately also the main road and this causes a continuous noise of cars and motorcycles that makes it really unpleasant to enjoy relaxation on the terrace
rough cleaning, especially on the balcony
non-existent courtesy set (2 simple low quality sachets and a liquid soap dispenser from disount however broken)
breakfast: poor selection and with packaged cakes and frozen briosh
beautiful location overlooking the lake but outside the town

Excellent three star, extremely kind, nice and friendly hotel owner and staff
The room was spacious, spotless and with a spectacular view of the lake.
Very good breakfast especially the cakes!
In the evening we spoiled ourselves with an excellent spritz prepared to perfection

This is a pleasant looking hotel at the eastern end of Lake Orta not long after leaving the grimly industrial and unprepossessing settlement of Omegna which by no means prepares you for the beauty of the lake as a whole. We stopped at about two oclock on a quiet Saturday afternoon but were warmly welcomed and seated in the large dining room. A simple salad starter was followed by a grilled fish steak with potatoes and finished with a creamy desert. The whole meal with half a litre of good white wine came to less than 50 euros. Not the prettiest location on the lake but very acceptable and good value.

Nice hotel close to Orta lake, easy to find, very peaceful and relaxing. Confortable rooms with nice lake view. My room included a large terrace, tv, fridge and a confortable double bed. Large bathroom, too.

We found this a peaceful and friendly hotel alongside Lake Orta (About a mile from Pettenasco Railway station, which does require a roadside walk to get from. There is a boat stop across the road with 4 stops a day.) The owners were friendly and helpful and all was clean and tidy with a nice ambience. The Hotel has it's own pub/bar 10 mtrs away which serves until 10pm. A good breakfast is served and on our early departure to catch the morming train,a breakfast was left for us before the dining room opened at 7.00am. All in all a pleasant stay, the only slight downfall is the route to the station, however the owner did pick us up on arrival which was most appreciated!

Having read previous reviews and spoken to the owner, a lot has been done to improve the hotel in the last 2 years and we found it absolutely perfect. Stunning views, very helpful and friendly staff, extremely clean with all mod cons, the little beach is perfect to get into the lake, the food was fine and as we were in the actual hotel, the pub was no issue, just convenient to pop in. Yes the road is noisy but actually, seeing all those lovely Italian collection cars and noisy bikes go by as well as all the boats heading for the fireworks in Omegna was like people watching on a Sunday. Would totally recommend with earplugs and maybe out of season.

We stayed at a residence/appartmet for two nights. The views were fantastic but we could not sleep as the bar below was so noisy as was the traffic. We were quoted a price on email and the prices on the door and on the internet were a lot cheaper but they wouldn’t budge on the price. The boiler was leaking onto the bathroom floor so was a slip hazard and when we reported this, the propriator was not interested. It is not near Orta without a car and the only reason to stay here would be for the view. There are much bettter places to stay on the lake.

Room Tip:Â No good rooms as on the front with the lovely view are noisy and the residences are above a bar.

Lovely views from the hotel, big rooms, good restaurant and a private small beach so not bad...
But... It's in a need of a serious refresh, wifi non existent, too close to the rails and road, no A/C, the TVs are... from another era and poor breakfast (not even some proper orange juice and the cappuccino is more a caffè latte). So not good for a business stop I'm afraid.

Was here for a conference in the area and stayed in a twin room with a colleague. It's set on the picturesque Lake Orta so alfresco dining is a treat. Steak dinners here are delicious and they offer a free first glass of sangria with the meals (although do book as on Fridays and Saturdays they're fairly busy). I know other reviews complained about the train noise but we had no problems. My only niggles: the hotel is a little far from the village (a taxi doesn't cost too much though), and the breakfast should have juice not squash. On the whole I quite liked this hotel.

We had two rooms both overlooking the lake. The view was excellent, and we all slept well in the air conditioned rooms. The rooms are a little short of luxuries, but clean and well prepared. Our visit to the restaurant was enjoyable with great quality food. The staff where all friendly , and although English is not spoken they manage to be understood . Well lit off road parking rounds off a good experience
