We booked last minute to go and see the Sunderland airshow and when we arrived discovered that we were lucky as ours had been the last room available. Everything about our stay was lovely, the hotelier John was so helpful and you can tell he really cares about his guests. We were given advice and suggestions about the airshow and...

It's quiet and clean and the breakfast is as good as any. John is quirky and very pleasant with his very own sense of humour which we like. Roker in Sunderland is by the sea and just delightful as we watched surfers sailers swimmers paddle boarders, aerobatics , ships coming in and out, in the harbour, from our room window. Don't...

John is very helpful and the room was spacious and clean. There is a lovely Italian restaurant close by. There is also a nice park in the...

Good rooms and a nice spot by the beach, but the main feature of my stay was the helpfulness of the owner, John. I had a very early train to catch next day and not only did he get up to do me a brekkie at 6.30 he also gave me a lift to the Metro. This is not the...
