Our hosts were very friendly, but we just weren't comfortable here. Our family of four had two rooms. One of the rooms had a double, four-poster bed. It was comfortable enough, and had a lovely view over the water, but waking up to a clear sunny morning had the room incredibly hot and uncomfortable in a very short time. Couldn't...

Stayed for one night when we saw Beyonce at the Stadium of light. Within walking distance, clean, sea view and friendly owner. Lovely refurbished en suite bathroom and fourposter bed. Tea and coffee makig facilitiesin the room. We didnt make it to breakfast but it smelt lovely! Would stay there again if in the area.

Very good three night stay this weekend.Opposite bus stop to city centre in ten minutes.Good views from room over coast,beach and North Sea. Friendly staff,good room with TV ,many channels available.Very good breakfast. I would definitely stay here again as it is very good for the cost.

Could not have had a better view of Roker Bay, we had a four poster bed a window chair so you sit and take in the view, clean and comfortable a little tired but we where made very welcome. Breakfast was in the Terrace Guest House and this was fantastic breakfast. Small but comfy Thank you

Balmoral and Terrace Guest House is right on the seafront and within easy reach of the town centre by bus. Has ample off street parking and a great full English breakfast is served by Abby and Paul, who are delightful people. The top floor rooms are small and the beds and linen should be updated but I would still recommend...

Was very disappointed with the whole experience. Very poor standards. Nothing like what we expected having already read reviews on TripAdvisor. The whole place was full of contractors who were working in the area. Rooms were noisy. I was kept awake by noise from the room above. Then woke up early by noise from the same room. Stayed here Good Friday for 4 nights as the place we normally stay 2 doors down was fully booked. The room looked ok at first glance but when you tried opening some of the drawers the fronts fell off, the curtains were very thin and didn't fit the window and the bathroom was tiny with no room at all for...

At short notice I was looking for a guest house / hotel that would be a reasonable price and a nice place to stay. The Balmoral ticks every box. Very clean place. With breakfast we are 2 people paid only 47 pounds for a night. Very good food. Nearby stations, very comfortable.. Good view from room u can directly see a beach.. I plan to go there with my girlfriend, very quite and good place to stay.....
