Overall, it is a good and cheap stay if you are planning for a night or two. I booked three deluxe rooms for myself and my friends during our vacation. However, upon entering the room, we realized that the door didn't have the usual hotel triple lock feature due to a spoiled door guard or a malfunctioning lock, which resulted in only two locks for redundancy. Despite booking a non-smoking room, we noticed a minor cigarette smell as we entered, and the desk and mini fridge cabinet had drink stains and cigarette burns on top. One of my friend's room had a faulty water heater, that can release water temperature equivalent to a hot spring, even though the handle was on the cooler side. The hotel is conveniently located a short walk from Nagoya Hill Mall, which is a large mall where anything can be purchased. Despite these small issues, we still had a pretty decent stay.

I stayed here for 2 nights during CNY. The room is simple and modern. Not very different from photos. However, for a Singaporean POV, this is definitely a 2 star for me. I have no qualms because the aircon is working well... hot water works well... reasonably clean. It comes with breakfast with an egg station and some variety. Not too bad! I have stayed in Batam hotel where tap water is yellow so this is considered good!

We stayed here as we wanted to be close to Nagoya Hill Mall. It's not really a walkable distance to the Mall but at least we were not too far away from it. Lobby was a bit sad looking however checkin was fuss free.
We stayed in an apartment with 2 bedrooms. It was a very simple place for us to bunk in for a night.
The breakfast buffet in the morning was okay - nothing to rave for.
The hotel needs some refurbishing.

Good Morning,

I booked 1 room for 2 nights at Nagoya Mansion Hotel, Batam from Agoda but pay at hotel. For 2 nights cost around Rupiah 1.200.000+. There was issue that i want to share and i hope Nagoya Mansion can improve

That day on 4th January i went to Nagoya Mansion Hotel Batam, Once i go to the parking, the first impression has already annoyed Me. The security was not helpful, i couldnt Find parking and they are not even suggesting where i should park. After i turn for few rounds, i found a parking near rubbish bin. I even have to push the bin so i can park my car properly. So I settled the parking by myself already.

Second, when we go to the lobby, there was no usher or any guard to help us bring our luggages. I mean, i paid that amount and dont even get that kind of basic service, at least help me bring my luggage. After we checked in, we were walking to our room, the corridor has some kind of smoking smell and the carpet looks so dusty. So we went in to our room, the seconds we walked in, it smelled like dust and I saw some parts of the shelves were not cleaned. Guess they just wipe the part where we can see it. So I went to the lobby and ask the front desk if we check out, can we get our money back? I understand if I can’t get full payment but at least 50% because I am not staying there at all. They only answered ‘cannot, because you book from Agoda, not from us. But i book from agoda and pay at hotel, they suppose to suggest any other option or at least they can ask me for the reason why I want to check out. But they did not ask, they only ask whether I want to check out or not. That’s it! So I don’t say much, I just say yes because they don’t even care about the service at all.
Worst experience and disappointment.

Stayed here from 26-27 Jan 2020. On the map, the hotel might seem near the Nagoya Mall but no, there are no walkways or paths you can walk to the Mall (unless you want to walk by the roadside which is dangerous). We got the top floor at Tower B which is quite a distance from the reception at Tower A. The room was constantly noisy in the day and at night as we got the room beside the elevator. Hotel room was not carpeted but the corridor was carpeted which was weird. The cupboards were old and dusty. Furniture stained. Bed covers were stained. Toilet mat was stained. Towel was stained. Toilet tiles were stained. Cups were dirty as well. It was disgusting.

Tried to order room service at 11am. Initially ordered 4 items. Room service called back saying item 1 is not stock. Room service called again saying item 2 “is finished”. Room service called the 3rd time saying another item is no available. In the end we decided to cancel our whole order and ordered GoFood instead. Food pickup was really far due to the layout of the hotel.

Around the hotel, there are no convenience stores to buy drinks and snacks. Only have a 24hr pharmacy which is 3min walk from hotel. The room service’s low stock dies not help either.

Overall very disappointed and will NOT stay here again. The dirty linens and towels were the last straw for me.

My stay at the hotel was disappointing... The shower had a slow flow with little water, and it took about 5 minutes for the hot water to warm up. The cupboard door was malfunctioning, and I'm not sure if the room was properly cleaned before our arrival. The phone didn't work, and there was noise from upstairs in the early morning for a short period of time, indicating poor soundproofing. Additionally, the WiFi was extremely weak

My family and I stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. Reached the hotel at the check-in time of 3 pm, was informed the room was not ready, they only have smoking rooms for us, and told us that we need to wait an hour more for our non-smoking room. It was nothing like the photos on the websites, the rooms were run down, the cups were not cleaned properly, and the towels were dirty. We were locked out of our room twice because of the door card reader battery (took them a long time to come up and change it for us, the last one they didn't even bother changing or coming up, just gave us a key instead).

Run-down and dirty room condition. Old linen.
Facilities adequate. Rude security. Housekeeping >20 minutes slow service. Scary hotel policy eg No durian allowed or else be fined up to 15 millions rupiah. Crazy HAHA!

Breakfast was simple and good service.
Receptionists was polite.
5 minutes ride to Nagoya Hill Mall.

Unfortunately not best-valued place to stay.

We have been here now for 3 months and we love this hotel. The staff are fantastic. Our room is fantastic. Everyone is doing the right thing in terms if the virus. I am looking forward to the gym being re-opened because it is really good. The pool area is lovely. The location is perfect and very close to many malls.

Im still staying here while im writing dis review. Supposed to check out tmrw, thank god for that. Now, im not gona deny that the room is very spacious n nicely decorated. However, cleanliness was ZERO. We came in to the room with dead roaches on d floor n some live ones on d bed. Not to mention the spiders. We had to call the housekeeping to come and clean the rooms n toilet all over again.

N wat happened was, it was d second day of our stay today, we had couple of events n dinner. So we came back arnd 10pm. I forgot to put the deposit for the 2nd day. They came up at 1AM to d room demanding us to pay up or check out immediately. At 1am? With a baby? Even without a baby dis management is clearly brainless.

We said we could pay the deposit in US dollars, but they insisted that they need it rupiah. Omg, its 1 am, we have USD y cant u just take it?! It seems if we cant pay in rupiah, they would have to hold the passport, excuse me.. y would I allow that to happen when we hv cash in our hand. So we went down to settle the bill, n he said to us "THIS IS INDONESIA, REMEMBER THAT" .. wowww... I hv no idea that nagoya mansion were run by Goons.. or else y would hv never ever stayed here.

So after going back and forth on d same thing, He finally agreed to take the usd. Instead of taking only 150dollars for the deposit, he took 400dollars instead. But watever, we hv the money to pay, upon check in they said they take ringgit, SGD, USD for deposit as long as upon check out we would pay in rupiah.

I guess mr.alfi decided to go against the management rules n go by his own. They should really be careful of the sort of people they r hiring.

In one hand, it was my fault that I forgot to put the deposit for d 2nd day cz I was out the whole day. However, upon checking in I filled up the form with contact details. Why didnt they give me a call earlier during the day? What is the point of filling the form then? Why do you hv to demand for payment at such odd hours? Its not that we refused to pay, the money is there, mr.alfi is the one that refused to take the money by insisting that deposit has to be paid in Rupiah. The funny thing is, they r holding my rm550 as a deposit for day 1. How fast the rules can change in dis hotel.

I hv recorded all the phone conversation as well. I did not shout, I was talking nicely, but he freaked n started being defensive. When he doesnt know what else to say, he pretended that the line was broken, n hung up. Very professional indeed. I know he did that on purpose cz if it is not, he has my contact details, he would hv return my call.

I hope the management would take an action on this and do not let this happen again. I would be more than happy to email the telephone conversation between me n him as a prove.

I am not writing out of anger, I am writing out of disappointment.

I paid about SGD35 per night and it includes breakfast. Bed comes with a pillow, blanket and you also get a towel. They will set up the bed for you at your preferred location within the room, space permitting.
