We stayed at SAUDADE for 4 nights in the Green room and we loved it. There are 3 newly built apartments available which are on the ground floor of a private home with the owners living on the top storey. Parking is available off the street. The Green room is the largest apartment with a large balcony with outdoor furniture and it has fantastic views to the sea as the house is high on the side of a hill. The Green room has a king size bed which was the most comfortable bed we have every slept on and a spacious bedroom, There is also a TV in the bedroom, spacious ensuite and large living area. If you want to stay with a group of people you can book the other apartments where locked doors can be opened so you have access to the other apartments..If you book 1 apartment the owners will not book the other apartments during your stay so you have full privacy during your stay. The apartments are new and modern with very good quality furniture, appliances and linen. The floor to ceiling windows give you good views. The kitchen is stocked with good cooking equipment and utensils, large fridge, electric hot plate, Microwave/Oven, kettle, large toaster and dishwasher (with cleaning tablets). Tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper are provided. The living area has 2 comfortable sofas, 2 Ottomans, coffee tables, a large flat screen TV with Foxtel and Netflex and air-conditioning. Free WiFi which worked well. Everything in the apartments is new. There is good lighting in the apartment and also over the balcony. The apartment was spotlessly clean with the owners having a good eye for detail. It is a short walk from the apartment down to the beach and also to The Common Bistro and bar and the White Elephant Café that overlooks the beach. The township of Margaret River is only a 10 minute drive from the apartment and there are plenty of restaurants and wineries nearby. If you visit the Margaret River Visitor Centre you can pick up a free map of the area which shows you where wineries, restaurants and attractions are. We spent a lot of time on the balcony having our meals and just sitting reading our books and enjoying the peace and quiet, the birds in the trees around the building and watching the waves crashing over the reefs. The sunsets were amazingly beautiful. The owners are friendly and helpful committed to making your stay very pleasurable. They have 2 electric bikes you can use and also a boat they can take you out on. We highly recommend these apartments we could not find any negative things and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be returning for a relaxing and interesting holiday.

Great waking up to ocean views everyday. The accomodation has everything you need and feels brand new, when you book any room they block out the rest so you have a private stay which is rare.
Mike was very accomodating lending us his bean bags to head to the local winery’s movie night when they had booked out.
He also surprised us one morning asking he we wanted to head out on his boat to see if there was any Cray’s and was lucky to pull 2 ! We also did some salmon trailing on the way back.
Nice cafe “The white elephant” on the water is walking distance & another “the common” is even closer.
Great place to just chill and look over the water or explore the many activities in the region.

I looked around on the internet before booking this property. It is well located, extremely peaceful, very modern, has all of the things you need to live away in its entirety (except a hair dryer the wife tells me). Frinedly service on booking and on arrival. A short drive to most attractions, beaches and margaret river itself. I found it to be a peaceful getaway. Bed and pillows were good. Kitchen has everything you need. View from the balcony is beautiful. Would definitely stay again. Ive stayed at margaret river region a few times previously. Saudade was the best of the accomodation Ive stayed in with all things considered.

Saudade with its 3 ensuite bedrooms was a perfect fit for our group of 3 couples.
Kitchen was fully equipped with modern appliances. Bathrooms were well-fitted and had good water pressure.
But the real star was the view. Mike pointed out a whale to us within moments of our arrival. We didn't spot any after that, but the sweeping views of the ocean was still mesmerizing, especially at sunset. At night, the skies were dark and clear enough for us to see the Milky Way!
Location wise, it was about a 15 minute drive to Margaret River town and a 10 minute walk to the beach. I think that is a nice balance!
The only negative point I can think of is that the bed in the main green bedroom was too soft for our liking.. we would have liked something firmer.

Had a wonderful stay in this gorgeous property, it’s well equipped and comfortable. Magical sunsets in the evening. Restaurant and beach cafe within walking distance. Fantastic base for a holiday in Margaret river. Views from the master bedroom were just lovely to wake up to as well. Will definitely return if we’re back in WA

Close enough to Margaret river but with the benefit of coastal magic. Had everything we wanted, including peace and quiet and all amenities. Great cafe and bar/restaurant within walking distance. Outside area has superb views, perfect for enjoying some wine and cheese from the tours! 😊
