Arrived late evening 2 Dec for 3 nights, (room 8) booked knowing lively pub, noise disco etc., this was not an issue for us. Stayed 1 night (had no choice) stairways, walls, bannisters & doors either filthy or beyond repair. Broken window on stairwell. Twin room, en suite a disgrace smaller than a shop changing room. Window handles missing middle window held together with wet putty (probs due to severe condensation & lack of heat) room totally freezing - warmer outside! Beds stained & holes in base, feet stick to carpet. No mirror in room area. Eventually made contact with mysterious SHANE who said would make it priority to address @ 11am. Total joke, he didn’t do a thing! Eventually the lovely friendly helpful Joe gave me a full refund as by this time I had run out of patience & am not unreasonable was willing to consider different room or the guest house due to attending a function at this venue on the Sunday but the poor service left me no choice! Shane needs a management course on customer relations and service delivery!!! By his own admission he doesn’t go in the rooms. He should have came to hotel to see me but instead left his staff to deal with me with no prior knowledge of my concerns. We left & booked into Travelodge. I will write 2nd review on function attended as this was a totally different experience & also to give credit to the front of house staff.

My husband and I stayed at the guest house, which was much quieter, then the main hotel. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Great price, free parking. The food was tasty and light on the wallet, the staff were friendly.

A comically bad hotel - like Fawlty Towers. On the hottest day of the year the radiator was stuck on making the room like a sauna. The only way to cool it was to open the window, which meant noise from the outside bar/nightclub until 1am making it impossible to sleep. I phoned the manager and he just said “well I’m not a plumber”. Avoid.

I was looking for somewhere to go for 7 of us from aged 87 to 6; not an easy task. I came across an advert for an afternoon of music and drinks/food at this place. I contacted the team and asked about taking our 2 small dogs, and what access for wheelchairs. The communications were fast, super helpful and really made us want to go. We turned up and nothing was too much trouble, every one of the staff and security went out of their way to help us. The music, food and drink was lovely and we felt very welcome indeed. We will be returning, I am more than sure.

We ordered a roast dinner delivery today from the admiral. Had to order through Deliveroo. We had to wait 2hrs for the food. We accept that the delivery was the fault of Deliveroo but the response we got from Shane from the admin was incredible! The food was stone cold and had been kept in a box from 3.17pm until 4.10pm as driver was late. When driver arrived with food he said the admiral staff had told him that they had to reheat the food as it had been sat in a box for so long! When I contacted the admiral Shane replied saying sorry but it was clearly Deliveroo fault. I accept the coldness of the food was the fault of Deliveroo but the food presentation and quality matched the delivery! As emails went back and forth shane started to get very defensive, he even blamed erratic driving on the food presentation. As i was not writing a job application or trying to impress anyone my grammar in emails was very basic, he picked me up on this and said if i was to write a review on trip advisor then I should get another person to write the review as my emails looked like a child had written them! He also said the pictures show a empty plate with chicken bones on it try to say we ate the food! Trust me once the driver said it was reheated we picked through what we thought was edible and did not eat the chicken! I’ve given up on trying to speak to the admiral and I don’t like leaving reviews but on this occasion I thought i had no other option.

This is a lovely establishment and I’m so glad we chose to stay here for the week, we had a large enough room to carry out our floor exercises with bathroom that was spacious enough for me to release my bowels whilst my my good friend and work partner brushed his teeth but still remained an acceptable distance for him not to feel sick. The food was tasty and light on the wallet, the staff were friendly and straight up gorgeous, the style or theme if you will is cool and chilled whilst making you feel like you cozy and warm next to the fire at home, a great venue in my opinion for a birthday celebration or any other occasion for that matter 👍👍👍👍

Booked a table for two adults and one dog with two weeks notice for dinner on a Saturday night. Intended to meet a local friend there for drinks after dinner. Cost £10 in a taxi to get there (usually a £4 fair apparently!!) arrived and two huge tables with our name on, said it’s only for 2 of us?? Got moved, Went up to bar to ask for a menu and got told oh we only do hot dogs and pizza tonight! Menu online said all sorts of things hence booking. So there we were stuck in the middle of nowhere. Ended up walking back to town to get take away Nando’s and back to hotel room. All in all a total waste of an evening! Couldn’t get in anywhere else either as wouldn’t accept a small dog, very dog unfriendly town! Won’t go back.

Arrived and asked if the pub was serving food. You would expect if the only thing available was pizza, they would at least give you an indication. Yes pizza is food, but if that's the only thing you're offering then it should be explained. After ordering the drinks we were stuck here till We'd finished them. Would've been nice to give a warning that it was admitted menu.

The staff are rude and social distancing does not happen especially in toilets it was over crowded of people and it wasnt being monitored at all. The security guard i saw throwing people out by the neck! Made me feel really uncomfortable, being not from around this area its a shame this has ruined my experience. I would avoid this place. Definitely not for younger children either. It may look like but its very deceiving
