*This review is seperate to the Admiral Cunningham* We booked here about 5 days in advance after a day at Thorpe Park, just somewhere to rest out head before traveling the next morning. We arrived at the pub across the road to collect the keys and got a really great welcome and service from the staff. They were brill. Unfortunately the hotel itself across the road is really poor in terms of cleanliness and quality. We arrived and instantly there was a group of lads drinking beers out the front, keeping the front door of the hotel propped open with a chair. Nice and secure. We went to find our room - in fairness, the communal areas had a smell of paint about them and the walls did look freshly painted but that's about where it ends. The carpets were stained and dirty, floorboards creaking and doors slamming. The room itself was small but that's fine, it has a bathroom, tv, mini fridge, wardrobe, microwave, coffee facilities so at least all the necessities. Sadly the cleanliness wasn't great. On the desk there was a huge iron burn. The curtains were stained. The plaster on the window ledges is peeling off. Something had been ripped off the wall in the bathroom. Just general poor quality. The bed itself was squeaky and rickety. The window next to the bed also opens out pretty much directly into someone else's window - so despite the heat we had to keep our curtains closed. This is clearly a hotel used for builders and contractors, not really ideal for a "nice" stay as a couple. Plus side was it was the cheapest we could find at £63 and had a carpark.

Me and my Partner were visiting Bracknell to meet with some friends and decided to try this place as it seemed to be good value for money. Upon arriving there was no staff or signage to tell us that we had to walk to a separate location to check-in. When we eventually phoned up and asked what was happening, the staff on the phone were short with us and extremely unhelpful. When we got to the second location, nobody was helpful and their attitude was terrible, they clearly did not care about us, and lacked any form of charisma. The room itself was absolutely vile, the carpets were filthy and the bedding was dirty, stained and discoloured. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and the mattresses were mangled and damaged. Furthermore with the dirty room, we found 4 rather large spiders had taken a liking to the bathroom and bedroom walls. (Being terrified of spiders this is an obvious deal breaker) Whilst it doesn’t state anywhere toiletries are provided, it is somewhat insulting that a small, half used bottle of shampoo had been left and nothing else. Finally, the ‘breakfast’ was nothing more than a pot of porridge, and some out of date biscuits.(Not even any milk for the porridge). Not the sort of place I’d feel comfortable eating in to be honest and would definitely recommend that this place is demolished and rebuilt from the ground up.

This is an annex of The Admiral Cunningham Pub/Hotel . Twin room was small but equiped with microwave Fridge tv tea and coffee ,including private bathroom with excellent large shower . Only downfall was its size bathroom sink plug did not work so wasting water and the mattresses need replacing asap. But as i said good for working stopover with free breakfast .

Stayed one night. Room and bathroom dirty, mouldy and falling apart. Breakfast extremely poor. Staff not helpful. Wrote to management- no reply. Extremely disappointed as this room cost us approximately £90. Not impressed at all.

Bed was like sleeping on a pile of springs, room was tiny considering it was a twin and constantly stubbed my toes on bed and breakfast was rubbish! A pot of oat so simple and an alpen bar at weekends, Monday we had cooked breakfast but was tiny! Also the pub stops serving food at 6pm!!! Reception is over the road and we had to phone to find out where to go. Don't bother!!!!

The room was clean. That's the good part, now for the rest. The overall impression is just not attractive, it just seemed run down. A handle was missing from the sink cupboard, I didn't even want to use it but it's just the impression. No toilet roll holder, the roll was just sat on the floor. Biggest moan was the "self service weekend continental breakfast" which turned out to be a paper bag in the room with a pot of instant porridge, an Alpen bar and a small carton of orange. Also, you have to book in at the Admiral Cunningham pub which is a couple of hundred yards away.

No reception as we arrived - had to walk to a separate property but it took us sometime to work this out as there was no signage saying what to do within the entrance area. Breakfast was supposed to be included - we found a brown paper bag with our continental breakfast in - a Alpen bar, carton of 'orange' juice and a tub of golden syrup that you needed to add hot water to. The toilet didn't flush and the shower needed it's grout replacing. I would not stay there again.

This is a conversion of an old large residential property into 8+ rooms. It is owned by the pub 100m away where check in and eat breakfast (weekdays - weekend is a packed breakfast). The room was well kitted out in modern style and had a comfortable night in a very clean tidy room that had good facilities: TV, drink making, microwave and storage. En suite also well designed in modern style, although shower lacking a bit of power. Bed was comfortable although the metal frame creaked on movement, no problem for me but possibly disturbing to those in room beneath. Plenty of on site parking.

Stayed in room number 9 and for £50 for a single room inc a cooked breakfast I have nothing to complain about! Simple, clean, quiet, TV, hairdryer, 3 mirrors including a full length. I would stay again if I needed a one night stay. The poor woman who serves everyone breakfast on her own is a hero.

This was booked on our behalf and so we were a little worried pre arrival! The room we had was quite spacious, the bed was comfy and shower worked well etc. Tea, coffee etc was available along with fridge and small wardrobe. Downside was there was no mirror except for bathroom mirror which is not ideal if you want to dry & style you hair.... I would stay here again as was ideal for a nights stay.
