Very dated and really needs a refurb two plugs sockets in the room and nowhere near where you would need them! , There was a kettle to use but unless you had something to balance it in given location of sockets pretty pointless, bad smell throughout actual hotel, room was clean, you couldn't be totally sure what colour the carpet should of been it looked that dirty.staff very pleasant.
Comfy bed and clean but very dated. The carpet was threadbare in places. Also no plug socket by the bed, not very convenient. Check in and out very easy. Good free car park out front. Adequate stay but not worth more than £40 a night really.
Never been to this hotel before but I defo so be returning the staff just go above and beyond met every need I had, the manager herself tended to me and made sure I was ok which is rare in these places definitely recommend you stay here one of the better travelogdes I have stayed at
After reading some of the reviews we were a bit worried before staying here but we had nothing to worry about! Room was spotlessly clean, free car park and steak house next door! Yes the hotel could do with a revamp but that’s not the staffs fault! All the staff here are amazing and can’t do enough for you. Special mention to the manager Lucy who helped us with directions and anything extra we needed throughout our stay.
Dirty carpet.dirty curtains. A terrible smell of shake and vac. Wondering what odours it was covering up. The windowsill was sticky no way was this room covid cleaned The carpet was so dirty that after a shower I didn't want to put my bare feet on it
As usual Travelodge did the business. Clean and tidy throughout, with comfortable beds and everything you need for a pleasant night's stay. Our room at the back of the hotel overlooked a quiet pub garden.
Worst night in a hotel. I appreciate that guests come and go, but all the doors slam due to the mechanisms on them, so guests arriving all through the night are slamming doors through no fault of their own. It didn't help that a guest next to us thought it acceptable to let their children run up & down the corridors at midnight. Doors started slamming again at 6am. The beds are comfortable & clean, the shower room functional, but the carpet in our room is so filthy that all our socks were black within 5 minutes of arrival (picture of socks attached... yuk!) and you can see that the carpet is worn & dirty.
Including our dog, had the best stay. Clean, comfy room, exceptional bed. Room was cool despite the heatwave, with fan to use if we wanted. Car park was easily accessible from main road.Steak house attached.
in the early hours of the morning a row took place in the car park with 2 of the guests there, where the police had to get involved. And the noise from the front door and entrance to the first level of bedrooms by the door being slamming , because that room next to the stair well door and front door.
Overnight CW Games Hotel We stayed here just for the night as it was far cheaper than anything else in the area for the CW Games. Clean, tidy and down the job. I was worried after reading the reviews but didn’t expect too much. The room was immaculate, yea the carpets are old but it was clean and 75 quid. Staff were helpful and friendly, knowledgeable about the area and helped us with Qs etc. I’d book here again for a cheap overnighter just off the motorway.
