I stayed here for one night whilst on a work event in Wokingham. I was cautious at the start because most other options were a lot more money but I probably selected this due to its locality to where i was working. Pleasantly surprised.... Rooms were a bit tired but spacious, comfortable and well planned. The pub has warming staff...

Thank you for your review and positive remarks. I am glad that your stay with us was a good one and hope that you will return if in the area again. I agree that maybe the furniture is in need of a rethink but as with anything it take a little time and money to get it right. Our local...

Stayed for a work trip in May 2016 and needed a lower-cost option. This place ticks the boxes that you need without exceeding expectations. The rooms are modest and a little dated, but the proprietors are keen to please and do great food for both breakfast and dinner.

Thank you for your review they are always welcome. Yes the rooms are in need of an update as far as the furniture is concerned but again this takes time and money to get it right. Hopefully later on this year it will get sorted. Always nice to hear that the food was of good quality and enjoyable.

I spent sunday evening to Thursday morning in Wokingham for a course in December 2016, not sure how I come across the Emmbrook Inn but I wish I chose somewhere else now. On Sunday evening upon turning up i asked about 18:30 if they were serving food, it was met with an abrupt "No way! get a takeaway! they are...

Thank you for taking time to do a review of your stay with us. I am so sorry that you found your stay with us so bad and can only apologise. I do not make any excuses for the way the staff dealt with your needs as I agree this is totally unacceptable and is not how we usually operate....

I spent one night here prior to a morning commitment in the area. I found the proprietor and his staff extremely friendly and accommodating, and the two meals I had, dinner and breakfast, to be more than satisfactory. Excellent, even. Would I stay there again? You bet! So why four stars instead of five? Well, I reserve five stars for those...

We stayed in this Inn in late September. The room was lovely - clean and very cozy. Great water pressure in the shower. We had a drink and dinner in the pub and then breakfast (full English) the next morning. The food was great and the service was excellent. Charming place to stay!

Good value for money, comfortable room with everything I needed (toiletries, hairdryer, tea and coffee making) and a lovely breakfast. Friendly staff who provided my breakfast earlier on Saturday morning than advertised as I had to be out earlier. Only downside was the patchiness of the wifi in my room.

Just a pretty ordinary pub. Stopped for a drink - Nothing special, not much atmosphere and not very busy on a Friday night - mainly locals. I wouldn't return again. Shame because it does look quite nice from the outside.

Friday night drinks, bar ok staff nice a polite, strange block playing music from a laptop in the corner not sure if he was doing email in between tracks. Common problem is a lot of pubs you have the walk past a group of smokers to get in the door which also makes the outside space at the front unusable

Thanks for taking the time to make a review. All constructive comments are welcome and helpful. I know that smokers outside are a bit off putting for those of us who do not smoke and it is unfortunate that sometimes they stray a bit close to the non smoking area. We are doing out best to alleviate the situation and...

This must rate as the most unwelcoming pub in Emmbrook, a course in customer service or the wish to be in a service industry would possibly help, 10.15 pm and it became obvious we were in the way as the table for breakfast were set up around us, then told at 10.15 if you want another drink it's now as...

“To be honest, all the rooms are equally as good - contemporary in design; very clean & comfortable with TV, WiFi, tea/coffee making facilities & an excellent power shower, As all the rooms are located in a purpose built building, there is no noise from the pub - not that we would have heard it as the bed was so comfy... Top tip!!: Why drive into Ascot with all the associated hassle when you can let the train take the strain! The Emmbrook Inn perfectly located approx a five min taxi journey to Wokingham Station (cost us £5.00)... From there is just two stops into Ascot at a cost of £4.40 return each & then a further 5 min walk to the heart of the race course... Trains run every 5 mins during the day going into Ascot Station & then every 30 mins for the return journey in the evening... No queuing, no stress & an excellent nights sleep - Perfect!!”
