We stayed for one night. Friendly and helpful staff member at check in. The room was fabulous and spacious, very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was clean. Breakfast was very good. Location was perfect. 2 minute walk to train station. Wine and beers available to purchase with a Complementary beer on arrival. A great courtyard. I would happily stay here... More

This is a really good value guest house. Just a few hundred metres from the station and around 5 minutes walk to the town centre. Popular with cyclists and tradesmen. We had the Wilhelm 2 room which was enormous and with lots of beams. Very quiet part of town and in hotel. But there is no air conditioning or lift... More

This is a delightful, historic and beautiful gasthof in a lovely town. We spent 3 nights staying in King Heinrich's room, which was spacious and well-decorated with two upholstered barrel chairs and a very nice, modern shower. The service was quite satisfactory and the breakfasts were served in a lovely area with delicious options. A real treat was the reading... More

We stayed 3 nights while visiting friends both nearby and in Stuttgart. The welcome was warm and friendly and our room a good size and most comfortable. The breakfast buffet was comprehensive and inviting, and the location good for accessing the delightful and attractive old town of Bad Wimpfen, as well as the nearby rail station for onward travel. Parking... More

We chose this hotel based on breaking a journey from London to Sud Tirol. We think ourselves fortunate in finding this comfortable and relaxing hotel. The facilities were spotlessly clean and quite stylish. The breakfast was hearty and typically German. We would recommend it unreservedly. The only minor drawback was the lack of dedicated parking but we managed quite well... More

This small hotel is at the edge of the old town and is connected to the old wall. Very spacious, clean room with (hooray) 2 comfortable chairs. Staff is extremely helpful up to providing a flashlight so we could hunt for a lost contact lens. Breakfast is extensive and very good. Honor bar in the hallway. Nice courtyard to sit... More

There is really not much to say: Very friendly hostess, rooms clean and nice. Quiet, no disturbances at night. The best breakfeast that we had during our roadtrip in Germany. Bad Wimpfen is a lovely and rather quiet old town - but lots restaurants to choose from.

This was a wonderful B&B. Nothing was too much trouble. There is no laundromat in town and we were desperate but the lady here did all our washing & dried it & folded it & only charged a small amount for 2 loads. The room was spacious & delightfully decorated. It overlooked a courtyard. Breakfast was good. And the lady... More

We have been traveling from Frankfurth , decided to spend a few days in this hotel "Herberge Zur Traube", Bad Wimpfen, Germany. The hotel is part of an old castle, very comfortable and roomy space, kind of a romantic feel, with very scenic surroundings- the city castle! The fact that "Barbarosa" or Frederick lst built this castle with the "Blue... More

Tucked away just inside the walls of Bad Wimpfen's alt-stadt, Herberge Zur Traube is a hidden gem. Some room's interior walls are actually parts of the city wall -- very cool. Staff was very friendly (some English-speaking), and very considerate. We left on a Saturday morning after all the usual business-guests had departed, and they still put on a huge... More
