Nice hotel with traditional rooms and with good service, lobby is OK- we paid 60€ a room. It is 3-4 blocks to the famous Roman Ruins, so it's perfectly located for sightseeing in this historic roman town.

This was a bit of a trek from the bus station but we were very happy with it when we arrived. Clean tidy spacious room with a view over the garden. The little cafe bar was resonabily priced for a hotel but the is a local bar on the corner next to the Supermarket. It was a couple of minutes... More

We stayed overnight at the Velada and although we spent most of the time looking at the city, it was a decent place to stay. Here are our reasons: 1) quiet: we were in room 613 , top floor and it was quiet there. Occasionally heard the elevator and the people next door around 7-8 am but it was time... More

Too crowded, too noisy, modest room for the price, breakfast average. Unfortunately there was a young persons cycling marathon/holiday staying at the hotel and this did not help matters. Our room was on a sunny side of the hotel and it was very hot.

We stayed for one night while making a visit to the city's breathtaking Roman sites. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the amphitheatre and theatre. Adjacent outdoor parking is available, and the hotel has a formal restaurant (which we didn't use) and bar/cafe with a good snack menu (which we did). Staff were friendly and helpful, and having... The room and bathroom were of good standard, with a comfortable bed, and we found it quiet. We were visiting family in Merida and stayed three nights. The staff were friendly and welcoming to family including two little boys. The breakfast and cafe were both very good.

This hotel is a very classy one, near the center of Merida (not in the center but you can reach in a 10 min walk). Staff is friendly and the hotel is clean. The breakfast is paid a side (a little expensive consider that you can eat cheaper in a cafe).

Hotel was fine for a stopover.on way to north coast. Private parking at €7. was ok., but price of room was quite steep. The rooms were acceptable but not 4 star. The sound proofing was very poor and we could clearly hear our fellow guests in neighbouring rooms as well as people in the corridor. We had a really good... More

Comparing the price of this hotel to others of similar quality in Spain, it is over priced. It is nice to have a 24 hour cafeteria but the rooms are standard - comfortable enough. The windows lock out any city noise but there is little to prevent noise from the corridors. Many hotels were booked out when I was searching.... More

Check-in was efficient but the price as a walk in was higher than the online price. Breakfast not included. The room is a little tired, but it has a bath and plenty of hot water. Off-street parking is available. It's a big hotel so a little impersonal as are they all.

“The room we had was on the fifth floor facing east which was perfect in the evening, not too hot. The room did have air-conditioning which was quiet and cool. The only downfall was a "double bed" was two singles put together. The floor was quiet, however we could hear the doors closing from the hallway in the morning.”
