Booked thru booking.com as we drove thru Sapin. Great price. great location, fabulous room, quiet and on the square. Top of the line amenities in the room. Bathrobes bath condiments etc. Staff very very attentive and friendly. We use the hotel parking but public parking sign eaily seen on square. Close to all sights but Roman theater uphill thru very...

Beautiful room in a moorish style hotel planned around a central covered courtyard. Right on the main square in Merida, which is actually quite a walk from the Roman remains that the town is famous for.The bed was comfortable, but unfortunately the double glazing couldn't cope with the noise in the square outside (Carnaval week) . The heat controls in...

Ideally located on main town square. Nice modern rooms with all amenities. Good breakfast buffet. Good and friendly service at front desk. The hotel also has valet parking which is quite useful.

Apologies to those of you expecting a review on the bedrooms, etc., but as the hotel restaurant is not listed amongst the other Merida restaurants, using the hotel link was the only way I could find to say something useful about the restaurant... We opted for the menu del dia, which offered three large plates of food (each) plus a...

Had a night here on the way from Madrid to Lisbon. On entering the town thought this was a big mistake but once we got to the old town and the central square, where the hotel is, thoughts changed. The hotel was impeccably located (i.e. right on the old square) and was tastefully appointed. The open lobby area was lovely...

Merida Palace was our favorite of all the hotels (7 total) on our trip to Spain. The location is great, you walk out the door and are in the main plaza of the town -- but it's not noisy or traffic-y. Our room, a standard one, was huge, big bed, entrance hall, large bath, we really felt comfortable. The hotel...

A very nice, centrally located hotel in the Roman city of Mérida, ideally suited for visiting the Roman ruins on foot. Rooms are clean and well decorated on a Roman theme. I only have two minor complaints. We visited at Carnival time and there was an all-night disco in the square outside. The room was not at all sound-proofed so...

First thing I must say, the hotel is not Melia anymore, now it belongs to MCA hoteles. I stayed there with my wife just for on night, but I think it was enough time to write a review. When I was doing check-in they ask me if I want to park my car for € 15, I accepted and the...

I experienced exceptionally bad service when I stayed at the Melia Merida in 2005. I had asked to extend my stay by an additional night. They agreed but forgot to properly update their records or recode my room key. That, in itself, would have been no big deal. But a woman at the front desk ended up calling my room...
