Originally a really beautiful room but it was sold as a room with sea view, while we had no sea view at all - we looked in a alley with a fast food store. If it wasn't advertised as sea view room it wouldn't be a problem but like this it feels a bit odd. Also, one of the lamps were missing a light bulb. Otherwise really beautiful room and hotel in general with a nice boutique flair. Location is great and just on one of the main squares (while still being quite) with nice breakfast. We also really appreciate the Covid hygiene standard: Every customer had to not just wear masks but also had their own "cuttlery" to retrieve food from the buffet. Susana was a great host! She did everything to make us feel welcome and provided us with all the information needed in this COVID period. The rooms were beautiful and bohemian decorated which I personally liked very much. Everything is a walk away and the town itself captured our hearts. We will come back!
We stayed in one of the rooms with an ocean view and a balcony, and it was very pleasant just waking up and seeing the beach. The breakfast in the bedroom was a plus. The rooms were thematical and very comfortable. The cleaning ness was spot on and they took all of the Covid precautions. We had a wonderful stay and the hosts were super nice and very thoughtful during our stay. They even recommended the best place for some great seafood tapas. Thank you Constança!
Clean and practical room, very central location right by the beach and incredible staff & overall service. Susana was always ready to provide tips and organise activities or recommend the best restaurant in the area. Fantastic service!
We stayed here for 2 nights in September 2019. This is not a hotel, it is a guest house. The reception door is locked at certain times during the day so if you want to check in you have to wait for them to return. We stayed in room 21 and the room was missing a mirror. The only mirror was in the bathroom which got steamed up after using the shower. I’d recommend this guest house if you’re looking for basic somewhere to stay. It was ok for our needs but don’t expect anything fancy.
We booked here for 1 week. We stayed 2 nights before moving hotels. The owner was very unfriendly on arrival. After a long journey I enquired if I could buy some water, she told me there were no drinks- just gin. The room was not ready which was fine as I was a little early (My husband met me in Portugal so I arrived alone)however she said that there would also be a delay and she couldn't say how long it would be. When the room was ready the air con was broken. I asked for her to help- she reluctantly came and agreed to switch my room. She didn't offer to help me with the luggage, so I moved it all myself. 1 big suitcase, a smaller one and a bag. The first night I noticed how thin the walls were, you could hear everything. The Portuguese soap next door were watching, every door closing. The music down stairs in the bar which is not made clear to expect. The second night the music in the bar was turned up very loudly after midnight. We were on the second floor and still heard it. My husband went down to find an empty room with a duke box playing. He turned it down- the owner came in from outside and told my husband not to touch the duke box and that he was "invited into her house". My husband pointed out there was nobody there and we wanted to get some sleep. She didn't seem to care. The next day we complained to the other staff members who were lovely and very apologetic. This seems to be a common theme with the owner but their hands are tied. The hotel itself is beautiful, really immaculate. The cleaners and the the male receptionist really could make it work, however the host doesn't appear to care and seemed so disinterested in hospitality and is quite frankly rude. We checked into another hotel nearby. All in all it was very stressful, considering we work hard and wanted a stress free break in the sun. Sesimbra itself is a picturesque village with lots of restaurants serving fresh fish that was absolutely gorgeous and reasonable. Go to Sesimbra but AVOID this hotel. The 2 stars are for the appearance of the hotel and the cleaning staff and receptionist that work so hard with little thanks.…
The location of the property and the good breakfast, Lady host somewhat unhappy, booked a superior room, I was given a normal room, a bit noisy in particular during the night, shame that the dining area is not open for meals and drinks, nice area outside.
In the middle of Sesimbra, great for going to the beach. The breakfast didn't work so they refund us the money and the bar didn't work either, it's really centric so we could easily fix it but they didn't give much explanation. Rooms a bit too noisy and small. Price a bit too high for what it is.
Staff exceptionally relaxed, friendly and helpful and amazingly efficient. Some hours after arrival, we found that our air con didn't work, and without fuss we were upgraded to a room with balcony and a large bathroom. The view was amazing, the place was quiet at night, and the breakfast was the best we've had during our mini tour. Wonderful bread and rolls, lots of fresh fruit, as well as other options. We would recommend Casa da Praca very highly, and hope to return. The town itself is charming, although parking can be challenging during busy times, and the beach is lovely.
This is one of the best apartments I've ever stayed in. Just perfect. Stylish, well equipped, clean & central. Lovely location on quiet square. Thank you Isabel. Looking forward to returning one day..
