In the balcony of your room, contemplate the strong blue ocean and, using the imagination, feel yourself sailing in the undulating capricious, either quiet or rough waters. The Sesimbra sea, in Portugal, it is so; a sea with personality, beauty and intensity. With prevailing view over the Atlantic Ocean, the Sesimbra Hotel & SPA, in Sesimbra, Portugal, has a privileged location at the seaside, next to the California beach. The eyesight, the direct access to the beach, the proximity to a rang of points of tourism interest in Sesimbra and Serra da Arrabida (Arrabida Mountain), make the Sesimbra Hotel & SPA your best Hotel choice in Portugal. The sea fills out the roomy Sesimbra Hotel & SPA inside. The Hotel melts down with the sea, through a refined decoration where the blue and beige colours prevail as well as a diversity of sea motives. Everything in the Hotel speaks about the sea, from the colours to the lovely paintings spread by the corridors and rooms. Enjoy an absolute comfort the whole year through. Visit Sesimbra, in Portugal, enjoy the Golf and feel delighted with the Sesimbra and Serra da Arrabida landscape and its rich environment.

Beautiful beach hotel. This far exceeded our expectations- the room was spacious and clean and the balcony had gorgeous views of the beach. We enjoyed the infinity pool and were very pleasantly surprised by the breakfast ( featuring a terrace , complimentary sparkling wine and a pancake machine). Ideally located to explore the gorgeous town of sesimbra and the beach. We will definitely be staying again!

We arrived at the hotel at about 13:00 and were told that our room was not ready. As check in was not until 15:00 this was fine, so the receptionist completed all of the paperwork to make it quicker for us later. They then took our phone number and promised to call when the room was ready, but we got no call. This would not have been expected if it had not been offered, so was an unnecessary disappointment by the hotel. When we did check in at about 15:30, the initial thoughts were the rooms were airy and spacious with a small balcony, big enough to sit comfortably. However, there were a few small issues in the bathroom. It appears that at one point the towel / robe hook may have been pulled from the wall and replaced, but the holes from the original hook were never filled. A large tile appeared to have been replaced, but it was a completely different colour to the other tiles; the plug in the sink looked grimy, but it was limescale due to the tap constantly dripping; the shower screen did not fit properly, so the floor was socking when you got out of the shower (no matter where you moved the screen to). But the worst was a door stop, right in front of the toilet. When I used the bathroom in the middle of the night, half asleep, I stepped on this large piece of metal in the floor and hurt my foot - it really was the most inconvenient place to put the door stop. Reading this you may think that we did not enjoy our time, but it would actually be the opposite. Breakfast was plentiful, the guest areas in the hotel were spacious and airy (in fact there seems to be a large amount of wasted space in the hotel), the rooms were clean (other than the sink plug as previously highlighted), the views were lovely from the clean poolside area. We went in May and there were sufficient sunbeds for the guests, but this may be a different case in the busier summer months. The hotel bar was small but comfortable. The drinks were expensive, but the lady working the bar was really friendly - we were only there two nights, but on the second night, she had remembered what we were drinking, down to which drinks had ice and which didn't. I cannot commend her enough (23 & 24 May 2022), as this sort of detail makes you feel really valued as a customer. So, if the hotel can sort out the small niggles with the lack of a promised phone call (don't make a promise and then break it) and the bathroom, this would definitely get a five star review. We will hopefully visit again, and I look forward to these small issues being resolved for our next visit.

We stayed for 5 nights and found that the hotel was not at a 4 star rating standard. Good points: - We had a great view of the beach from our room - 2 min walk to beach Bad points: - a general lack of enthusiasm and purpose from staff at hotel. We found ourselves constantly waiting for things and would find out key information about the facilities as our stay rolled on. There was always lots of staff on reception but no one was doing anything. - They will nickel and dime you for everything, even the coffee capsule in your room! - large bed but uncomfortable - The hotel is stuck in a kind of early 2000’s time warp. I’m sure it was great back in the day but has fallen into disrepair. - shower and bathroom not cleaned to a high enough standard, mould visible. - breakfast was basic and not at a 4 star standard, eggs tasted like flour and bacon was processed. Sesimbra is a beautiful destination and if we had our time over again, we’d stay further down the beach at another hotel or Air B&B. You’re effectively paying for the view at this place but that’s about it.

My wife and I are back from a week stay in the Sesimbra Hotel & Spa. We were both very satisfied with our stay. The hotel is spotless . The staff throughout the hotel are very nice and helpful. The Pool area is lovely with lots of sunbeds. The room was very spacious with a good size bathroom and a good shower which were always cleaned to perfection . The balcony is also a good size with a stunning view but the sun did not quite shine on ours but it was lovely to sit out at anytime such was the great weather. We were on the tenth floor. There was a good choice at breakfast like breads, juices, cereals, fruit, pastries and hot food ( we would have liked to see some changes to the hot food during the week though). The location was great and close to the town center , restaurants, bars, cafe,s bus station. I would highly recommend the Sesimbra Hotel and Spa.

The hotel is very clean, beautiful, modern and very well located. We booked for 3 nights through Booking.com because I was unable to get on the english site of the hotel. This morning I went to see the mgr to tell him that we would check out one day earlier and if he could do something to not charge me. He said no you have booked through Booking.com and there is nothing I can do. I said thank you I completely understand. By the time I went to my room to finalize my luggage, I received an email from Booking.com saying there would not be any charge for the night. I went back to reception and the mgr said he cancelled it through his system. I told him it isn’t the money but his gesture. That is service well above and beyond. Thank you ( tall man mgr) forgot to ask your name. The hotel is impeccable but your service even more!!

Very mixed feelings about this place. Rooms are great with superb views over California beach. Nice decorated and spacious. BUT.. Bathroom cleaning not adequate. Shower tub and marble floors grotty. Covid procedures very diligently followed at check-in. BUT.. uncontrolled buffet breakfast without even proper sneeze shields. Breakfast food quality mediocre. Spa/pool/gym area nice and not busy when we visited. BUT.. 50% of cardio equipment out of service. Massuese so so. Basically this place has great potential, but really needs a serious dose of QC and management focus on those small details.

Big cozy rooms, all with a great sea view and a small balcony. Basically on the beach, the hotel is perfectly located. Even though we had a great experience, the rooms would need a bit of freshening up. Breakfast was fine with the usual choice. Staff was great

The room was incredibly spacious, the bathroom as well - was actually quite impressed with the room dimensions, and the view was just phenomenal. The hotel also has a pleasant pool directed to the sea front. The breakfast was super nice (apart from the crepes, which were quite awful) and the bar staff was also very good. On the bad side, the restaurant was horrible, I do not recommend, and in a place such as Sesimbra, there's tons of great alternatives.
