A warm welcome is assured from Norm, Nan and the team at their luxurious but friendly guest ranch set in the splendid countryside of the upper Fraser valley. A three day stay wasn't long enough to enjoy all the diverse activities on offer. Having never ridden before I quickly took to it after excellent tuition from wrangler Julie, and enjoyed...

Our 3rd holiday at Echo Valley and again they did not disappoint. The staff, food and spa are amazing. Our last 2 stays were only 4 days each and we found that it wasn't long enough. This time we booked for 7 days and had more time to relax and do extra activities. We stayed in the West Cabin and...

They are wonderful hosts and the staff and wranglers are soooo attentive and friendly. The horses, dogs, cats, turkeys, chickens, piggies, etc. take their...

The facilities are first rate, with gorgeous scenery, plenty of activities and a wonderful staff to make sure you are totally taken care of. The spa services are amazing, the horse wranglers friendly, helpful and totally focused on your comfort and care. The family style meals were scrumptious...

Its hard to put into words how special this place is. My sister and I went for the May long weekend and had perfect weather and a beautiful 3 day mini vacation. My only complaint is that it was too short. The main highlight for me was the outstanding food and service of Chef Jason Folk and the kitchen staff....

I was lucky enough to have my 50th birthday celebration here and took full advantage of the many activities available. Katia and I enjoyed, horse riding, fly fishing, shooting and an incredible flight over glaciers and ice fields (breathtaking !!). Katia also opted for a traditional Thai massage and is now fully converted to this type of massage. As usual...

We attended our friends wedding ceremony at the ranch, having never been there before, we expected a ranch setting, but not the ambience we endured. Bravo, the setting supreme , the wedding, spectacular, the dinner was awesome, and the entertainment great. Our friends told us about the location and what was being done for them on site, at first I...

I would highly recommend this resort. The food was outstanding. The spa was excellent. The staff made every effort to meet the needs of our group. I do not have any complaints. Even the drive to get there was beautiful.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Located in 'cowboy country' above the Fraser River in BC's scenic Cariboo Region, Echo Valley Ranch & Spa entices those seeking a restorative sojourn, as well as those looking for a higher-octane activity. Whether your idea of heaven is a trail ride through rolling hills, a 4x4 wildlife safari, or a day at the spa, at Echo Valley guests find harmony and rejuvenation. The fusion of eastern and western influences is best seen at the spa, where both western massage and Thai treatments soothe muscles and mind; while dining options encompass dishes from east and west, fuelled by produce from the ranch livestock and kitchen garden. Activities also include hiking, bird watching and fly-fishing, as well as trips to white water rafting. Winter options range from snowshoeing to ice fishing and snowmobiling. Echo Valley is an idyllic spot for weddings and elopements, and caters to meetings and retreats for corporate groups. Flying into the ranch's private runway is one way to arrive; the ranch is also accessible with a scenic five hour drive from Vancouver. ... more   less
