The receptionist noticed that my mum was very elderly so she transfered our booking to a lovely room on the first floor overlooking the garden.Comfortable furniture and nice big bathroom. Fresh fruit in the room was a nice touch. We enjoyed Sunday lunch. Breakfast was also a highlight with lots of choice and a nice buffet of fresh fruits, local fruit...

Very pleasant afternoon tea for two in the genteel surroundings of this beautiful hotel. We found the staff polite, attentive and helpful. The delicate cakes and scones were satisfying without being excessive. Equally pleasant meander around the grounds afterwards.

We pre-paid afternoon tea for 14 and were put in a side room for which we paid a premium. No flowers on the table no nice atmosphere. We waited at least an hour before we were given any attention. No choice of teas, mediocre sandwiches. Apparently nobody told the kitchen we were there. When we complained we were offered a...

My partner as a surprise booked a weekend stay at Eastwell in Dec'16 for my 23rd birthday. When we entered east well they had the beautiful log fire burning in the lobby and we were quickly seen to by the lovely reception team who gave us our keys and got the bell boy to show us our room. The room...

This is a review of the spa. We didn't stay at the hotel - just used the spa for the day. The biggest problem was the cold environment. They need to either up the temperature of the air or of the water, particularly in the middle-sized pool. We went to lunch in our robes but it was too cold so...

I have to say the room was super depressing and not worth the money in the slightest. We would have been better off staying at a Premier Inn where it would have been clean. Very disappointing. The breakfast in the morning was abrupt, awkward and cooked breakfast- poor quality. Champneys you need to throw a huge amount of money at...

Had lunch today with the family. Gorgeous hotel with roaring log fire surrounded by amazing scenery. The meal was very good and I didn't feel second rate despite not being able to eat wheat and dairy. Gluten/wheat free bread rolls with a tasty dairy free spread was available and my starter and main course was as beautifully presented and varied...

Venue is beautiful, in gorgeous surroundings. Staff are excellent, helpful, friendly. Rooms well equipped generally, but for example ours had robes but no slippers, one of the little things missing. Some rooms very large (ours was) others rather cramped (our friends). Small room hot, large room no views, and noisy from cooling units etc. Bathrooms good size, though ours had...

Family of 6 for afternoon champagne tea, once scones and cakes delivered no further service. No offer of sandwich top up or tea refill. Some cakes were clearly stale. Not what we expected for £29.50 per head. A real shame as venue and grounds are lovely.
