First time on a water bed. Hotel tired and rooms shabby. Toilet roll wasnt replenished causing a little embarrassment. Friendly staff. Breakfast was ok, couldnt get the juice machine to work. Parking available but not cheap.

Despite late arrival, there was no problem to enjoy the good kitchen. In fact, we enjoyed a very welcome and friendly arrival. The room was small, but clean and offered a good night-rest. WLAN works fine, without hick-ups. Breakfast was OK.

Although the picture on their webpage look very decent, one gets shocked when entering the hotel (room). It is actually quite old and shabby - not very nicely renovated. Moreover, the breakfast was horrible. All in all it is totally overpriced compared to the other hotels in town.

We pre booked for two rooms for three nights only to be told by an inexperienced receptionist that there was only one room available. The manager was called and found a room but we had to move to another room the next night. There was no complementary coffee and although we were given some discount for the inconvenience, the experience...

We (2 adults and 3 children) booked a 2 bedroom apartment in the hotel for 2 nights. The location is great - very close to the town centre. The buffet breakfast was also very good. The apartment was a mixture of brand new and what appeared to be 1970s. The bathroom seemed to be newly tiled with an old toilet...

The hotel is nearby to the bietigheim train station. Easy to reach by a local taxi. Market place is nearby. Spent one night in hotel, spacious and quality room. Good restaurant at the hotel, with inside and outside garden tables.

My wife, my mother & I were touring the countryside with no reservations, hoping to find a place to stay overnight before meeting my stepson the next day in Stuttgart. We were not aware of the large German festival going on in the area--sort of an Oktoberfest for the Germans as opposed to the tourists, so hotel space was scarce....

Although I've visited Bietigheim a number of times, this was the first time staying in the Hotel Rose. It is a small boutique hotel near the historic heart of town. The service was friendly and efficient, although I did have to track down someone to help me check in. The room was reasonably sized by European standards. The bed was...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Honorable Tradition The Hotel and Restaurant Rose has more than 200-year history Our house has a long history as a catering operation. Even in the 18th century, guests could dine well here. Over time, the Hotel and Restaurant Rose was known for its culinary achievements far beyond the borders of the country. Benjamin and Christian Maerz build on this honorable tradition now. Their parents led the operation for more than 20 years. Since the summer of 2013, the brothers of the house now draw on their own fortunes and they strive for a rich gastronomic experience. With a young, creative cuisine Benjamin Maerz has already cooked up a Michelin star for the restaurant. As the youngest star chef in Germany at the moment, he is known throughout the region. Restaurant Manager and Sommelier Christian Maerz has his own personal style and has been a great contribution to this success, and he creates an atmosphere in which food is simply a pleasure. Together, the brothers complement their strengths. For them, it's loose and relaxing, the crowd is mixed and favors a versatile culinary experience without any social pressure. A new chapter in the more than 200-year history of this venerable Hotel and Restaurant Rose has opened. ... more   less

“One drawback: owing to the age of the original building, there are no elevators. If you plan to stay there, book early and insist on a ground floor.”
