The owner is just amazing, really nice and funny guy and such a sweet family. The rooms in the guesthouse(no idea about the appartements) are pretty basic and small. Breakfast is not included and the next supermarket or anything is at least 30/45min drive away. Wifi didn't work good in the room. The location of the place is pretty good...

The guesthouse is relatively simple and has all you need to rest and to make a meal if so desire. However it is not the roof over the head that makes this place fabulous but what sets this place aside from all other places we stayed were the people that run it. They are funny, intelligent and enjoyable to interact...

The owner was so friendly and willing to help with everything. He even gave us advice on some beautiful hikes and places to visit in the West Fjords. The beds were comfortable and everything was so clean! The location is amazing as it is only a 10 minute drive from where the ferry drops you off. As well as this...

Situated on main road facing sea going towards Latrabjarg and Patreksfjordur (close to Baldur Ferry). Diagonally opposite a natural geothermal pool on the sea. On the background is another beautiful mountain range. The Cottage was adequate in size and fully equipped. No TV but who wants a TV on holiday. Wish Bathroom had ventilation. Owners are so kind and friendly...

We spent a night there on our way south from the Westfjords. The place is lovely, we had a great stay and a fabulous breakfast. The owner was very helpful and would go out of his way to help us, give tips and to share stories about Iceland. I definitely recommend this place.

Went there in the summer of 2014 on a travel around the Westfjords. This was the first place we chose for sleepover and on our way there we had a flat tire and no spare, so I called the operator at Bjarkarholt to let them know that I would be late because of this and they were very helpful and...

We were traveling by SUV in west Iceland in winter and were lost without food. Roads were forbidden because of snow falls. Torfi Johann open us in the middle of night and provided us a good meal. Guesthouse we rent was the less expensive of the region. It s very comfortable (2 rooms, 4 beds, leaving room and bath room)....

It was great to stay in such an idyllic location, to really taste the beauty of the Icelandic landscape. We were welcomed into the guest house by Rögnvaldur & Heiða, where the accommodation and food was just what we needed. Our children immediately got on with theirs, playing on the nearby pitch and having great fun in the river! If...

We travelled around Iceland quite extensively and found that what really made the trip unique for us was places like this. If you want a 4* hotel you'll probably stay in Reykjavik, but if you want to experience the Iceland that the tourists don't get bussed to, then you'll probably find few places better than this. It's a tiny community,...
