Three old (in every sense of the word) friends stayed here before tackling a coastal walk. We were given a friendly, if slightly startled welcome and a thorough briefing on our rooms. These were large, spotlessly clean and very comfortable, with great showers. Breakfast was impeccable and Served in a friendly way. The only slight criticism by one of our...

Our room was very well presented, comfortable, clean and inviting. Des and Heather had included lots of thoughtful touches, and even put kitkats in the tea tin :) The garden and house are both really nice, and obviously have a lot of time and effort spent on them. Breakfast was very tasty, and generous too. Heather knew lots about the...

Never have I ever been to such an amazingly beautiful hotel. The owners were both so comforting, accommodating... words don't utter the pleasantries that come with staying at Saxon Villa. The service even included advice about where is best to visit on our stay. So quaint, yet so amazingly grand. I can't say enough positive feedback regarding our stay here....

This B&B is just so, so lovely! In the perfect location for accessing a wide range of pubs, restaurants and lovely walks. Cannot fault anything with our stay. Immaculately clean, lovely breakfast and wonderful people. We came as a treat for two nights after our wedding and we will most certainly be returning! Thank you

Des and Heather are extremely welcoming and friendly. Our room was spotless and extremely comfortable. Towels and sheets were changed regularly and breakfast was excellent, with a wide choice of cereals and fruit and hot food cooked to order and of high quality. Would definitely recommend.

Really lovely property, very well presented & impressive decor with great character. Brilliant location for Robin Hoods Bay & Whitby. Good choice at breakfast and well cooked. Very friendly without being over powering. Shame our trip was only for one night!

Very welcoming, friendly & comfortable B+B Des & Heather work hard to provide a spotlessly clean Home, where nothing is too much trouble. At breakfast there is a good choice & perfectly cooked A very comfortable atmosphere awaits all.

We stayed here for one night, and although Heather was away Des was a superb host. Everything I read about the Saxon Villa prior to arriving was true; in particular the proximity to Robin Hood's Bay - it is only a 10 minute walk along the road and the streets are lite so its easy to find your way back...

Our second visit to this beautiful b&b and I still have nothing but praise for the attention to detail by Des and Heather. Their hospitality is second to none and nothing is too much trouble you only have to ask and if they can they will! You will not be disappointed with anything at the Villa I can guarantee!
