Possibly the friendliest Parador we've stayed at, there's a pleasant informality (some grander establishments can be a bit stuffy) from the moment you arrive that in no way diminishes efficiency. The location is spectacular, on one side peering down a cliff towards the plains to the southwest and Jerez (rooms have balconies on this side) on the other (the front)...

This parador has a striking location, but suffers from being short staffed and inferior levels of service, particularly in the dining room. Dinner and breakfast were disappointing. Bathroom fittings needed renovating, but the beds were adequate.

My partner and I are great fans of paradors - and this one certainly lived up to our expectations. It's classified as a 3* hotel though I can't see why it's not 4*. It's a lovely renovated building in the heart of Arcos with fantastic views from the dining room, bar and many bedrooms. Our room - #15 - was...

This is an old style parador that has been thoroughly modernized for plumbing, wifi, lifts, etc but retains its classic old world charm. If you want up to date modern go elsewhere. The lounges are classic elegance, and the service refined. The big problem is simply getting to Arcos - it is in the old town and arriving by car...

To be fair, we don't need much more than clean, quiet, comfortable accommodations. We looked forward to this Parador based on the recommendations of friends and ratings. And it was fine. Nice large, clean room. Great views. Fabulous terraces. The desk staff was great. The restuarant was just ok but much higher priced than other, better places within 200 meters....

We spent two nights at the Parador in Arcos de la Frontera. After a rather hairy drive up the narrow streets, we arrived at the Plaza at the top of the city. The Parador has an amazing location. We were upgraded to a room with a terrace and a beautiful view. The room is lovely, with a very modern bathroom....

It's dark and dreary, has worn/stained rugs and clearly needs to be sold or remodeled. In my opinion, this parador did NOT meet parador standards. Our room, #23, was very small; the bathroom was almost the same size as our bedroom. It was like a room for a single person, with a small bed. There was a small desk but...

Lovely hotel, but restaurant experience at dinner spoiled by very average food, wrong dishes being delivered, and poor translation of menu from Spanish to English. Breakfast was quite good. Reception Staff were very welcoming and efficient.

If you know the right way, it's quite doable to get here by car. It shouldn't however be wider than 2 meter, because that won't work. I can imagine that parking every now and then could be troublesome, but we were lucky I think for all three nights. It is beautifully located this parador. But you really go back in...

The cultural crossbreeding of the Casa del Corregidor displays an andalusian character, with latticework and a courtyard. Many of the rooms overlook a splendid landscape filled with art, nature and history. The flowery tiling enlivers the wood of the furniture and the ochre of the terraces. ... more   less
