This is a minimal submission as we have only visited when doing the tapas trail this first weekend in December. The location is certainly recommendable, right beside the lake with the bar and terrace overlooking it. Although it was Saturday lunchtime and the babble of big groups of locals provided authentic background noise, the camarera was especially attentive and welcoming,... More

We ate in the restaurant today but the service was poor. Ordered dorado and waited 10 to 15 mins to be told they had none. Anything asked for took ages to arrive. A shame as a wonderful position with reasonable prices.

Went to Hotel Meson de la Molinera for an evening meal only on a recommendation of the owner of the villa we were staying at. Location was within wealthy surroundings - perhaps holiday homes for the Spanish elite in the area. Very nice lakeside location with fantastic sunset views. Surprisingly no flies or mosquitos despite being literally at the lakeside.... More

2 nights was not enough at this fabulous small quaint hotel. Amazing views on the banks of the lake. Great to be just away from Arcos town. Peaceful friendly comfortable hotel. Lovely restaurant serving typical Spanish simple food. Great atmosphere and friendly service.

Restaurant review only. Relaxed casual and friendly venue. Dine inside or outside on the broad terrace overlooking a lake near Arcos de la Frontera. Service very good and they try to help with those with little Spanish. Menu typical of this part of Spain and very reasonable prices. On a Friday evening there may be live music near the pool.

Comfortable hotel, friendly staff and a very hassle free check-in. Rooms are standard, we had a small terrace but didn't venture out as it didn't look particularly appealing. There is a nice bar with a terrace overlooking the lake, great for watching the sunset. Food is easy and tasty. Breakfast is a little on the boring side, bread, cheese and... More

Decided to come off the Spanish AutoRoute and search for a restaurant on or near water and bingo! Satnav took us to Arcos de la Frontera not far from Ronda. Verdict: I would stay again with no hesitation, in any company. Pros: Beautiful lakeside setting, outdoor restaurant with picturesque views, large rooms, excellent rates, convenient parking, large pool. Cons: The rooms, although very large, have a motel-like quality to them. The furniture is a bit clunky. It needs to be mentioned, though, that the rooms, even if a little "motellesque"... More
