My family and I had some great days at the B&B. Jane and Mauro were extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms are nice and it was great to be able to sit outside in the garden and have breakfast. It is an easy walk to the lake, and it is highly recommended to take a boat trip to the islands.

After working and travelling in the North of Italy for 2 weeks, I had the privilege of spending a night at this little gem on Lago Maggiore. Since the last stretch of my trip meant staying in 4 different places in 5 days I was a bit jaded by the time I got to Torre Lara. I was pleasantly surprised...

Cosy B&B, very small (3 rooms only), the owner is very kind and helpful. Our room was clean and the breakfast was simple but good. Staying here is relaxing, the place is quiet, even if the railway is very close to the hotel (as almost all the hotels near the lake) is not so annoying. I highly recommend this place...

The b&b is a restored old house, which has been carefully turned into a wonderful little b&b. The host are very welcoming and helpful and recommended us to go to a great fish restaurant in the next village. The breakfast was great, with fresh fruits, plenty of different bread and a wonderful strong Italian coffee. We can highly recommend this...

Having stayed in hotels up to now in our trip, it was really nice to stay in a 'real' place! Its a lovely and very unusual house - Jane and Mauro have done it up and live upstairs while there's 3 bedrooms, a kitchen and a little dining area downstairs for guests. Its very stylish, with antiques and very well...

The house has been lovingly and beautifully restored by the owners, and the lake can be seen from each of the 3 bedrooms. Mauro & Jane are excellent hosts and guests are made to feel very welcome to their home. Mauro is very knowledgeable about the area and local produce and cuisine. He gave us lots of ideas for places...

Lovely setting in a lovely part of the lake. The owner and his wife are extremely helpful and informative in regard to a wide area around the lake. Excellent breakfasts in a very homely and comfortable home. A great B and B

We spent four lovely nights at 'Torre Lara'. The building is beautifully sited and all three rooms have lake views. Only 40 minutes from Malpensa airport, yet very tranquil. Excellent value for money. Yes it is close to the railway, but we certainly didn't find the occasional passing train in any way intrusive. The garden, breakfast balcony, clean and comfortable...

Gorgeous, good value bed and breakfast that was perfect for a weekend away, stunning location even in January. Very easy and quick to get to from Gatwick. Jane and Mauro very helpful in giving us ideas as to what to see and a general introduction to the area - so handy that they both speak English!

It is a sensitively renovated family home, offering modern comfort, including free wi-fi in rooms simply but stylishly decorated with the original Liberty furniture of the house. The 3 double bright and comfortable rooms all have en-suite bathrooms, heating and delightful views of the Crystal blue waters of the Lake.
