Hostal del Mar is a family business, with rooms overlooking the sea and equipped with TV, air conditioning, free WIFI ... It is located on the seafront, with the best views of the sea and the castle. Guests can enjoy breakfast during their visit. Hostal del Mar has free luggage storage. Given the proximity of popular places of interest you can walk to all places. Hostal del Mar will make your visit to Tossa de Mar worth remembering.
Everything was perfect. Hotel is on the beach front, 1 minute away from the beach, all local restaurants and shops. The room was clean (and cleaned every day), the balcony had amazing views and the staff were helpful, polite and courteous. Very cheap for the quality of service and location, we will be returning!!

We had a really lovley stay at this hostel. The location is fantastic! And breakfast on the balcony is a must!! The staff are friendly, the room nicely decorated and lovley& clean. The bed is very comfy .the only downside to staying here (and I have seen this on previous reviews )Is that the walls really are paper thin!!!you are above restaurants that have early deliveries so that is fairly noisy but with patio doors shut its not to bad & didn't bother me at all. However ,my next door neighbour did not have any regard for others! And with the walls being very thin & him being very vocal you could hear every conversation he had!!! Including him snoring at night (of which cant be helped lol)so if you are sensitive to noise bring earplugs !!!having said this it really is a lovley little place and I would recommend a stay here.…

Got here Tuesday night last week, lovely people to greet us. We settled in and the view was literally out to the beach/sea. We booked room 205, paid a little extra for that and wasnt disappointed, we could see sunset and sunrise literally from our beds. We opted not to have breakfast as we was on a budget so cant comment on the food, we can say that the facilities overall were brilliant. Bathroom had a nice shower/bath and sink, toilet all very clean. Beds had memory foam mattress for comfort which was nice, I'd say only draw back was me and my girlfriend booked the room with a double bed but when we got there it was two singles so we ended up pushing them together, none the less it doesnt take away the location of the place, how friendly the people on the front desk are and how clean it was. We will definately be booking again next time! think we paid something like £250 for four days.…

We picked this accommodation for the views and wow they did not disappoint. The staff were friendly, welcoming and very accommodating, providing beach mats and a parasol every day. Breakfast on the balcony was the perfect way to start the day. We will be back!!!!!

Location couldn’t be better, right on the beachfront. Easy friendly check in and very clean :) light airy room with a balcony with the best view :) Down side was the room smelt faintly of cigarettes and there was an ashtray in the room so despite being a non smoking hotel maybe some rooms are smoking rooms but was easily cleared but leaving balcony door open. Also only a thin sheet on the bed, no duvet but there was heating available. We would definitely stay again as it was fabulous value and location was the best :) lots of restaurants and shops on the doorstep :)

I had something else booked which got cancelled and picked Hostal Del Mar. Best decision ever! We loved everything about it from the minute we walked in. Super friendly staff, amazing breakfast served to you on your balcony, comfy bed and well equipped/clean bathroom. And the view! Just couldn't get enough of it. We were lucky to get a few glorious sunrises and seeing the sun come up and light up the castle (from the comfort of our own balcony) was one of the absolute highlights of our 6 weeks in Spain. The only downside was that sadly we had to pack up and leave!

This is a 2 star establishment and you should not expect luxury, but it is a charming little hotel. We booked it on purpose for the view and it didn't disappoint! The views of the castle and the main beach are spectacular! The rooms are nicely decorated, with very pleasant neutral colours and a marine theme. The whole place is very clean! We had a third floor balcony room and stayed towards the end of the season, so it was relatively tranquil, but I can definitely see how it can be noisy during busy months since there are a number of restaurants right below. Being a light sleeper, I don't travel without earplugs, and I would say they are definitely a must for this place. The major downside is that the walls are paper thin and you can hear people in the next room talking and the balconies could use better separators to provide more privacy! …

We are two grandparents who took our two 19 year old granddaughters on a 10 day trip to Catalonia. With all the beautiful locations we saw, Tossa is very high on the list. The Hostal is small, but the rooms comfortable and exceptionally clean. There are no elevators and a fairly steep flight of stairs. Our rooms were the two facing the ocean on the second floor. The view was 5 star, with the castle off to the right. The staff could not have been nicer, and pointed us to parking lot by the bus terminal, suggesting we park on the street if there was space available, which there was, so no cost to us, and a nice morning walk to retrieve the car. We ate around the corner (there is a great selection), had evening dips in the bay, and slept like babies. Highly recommended.

We were here in April. Very nice little spot. The rooms are super clean. The view of the water from the balcony is spectacular. It is a simple room but it is decorated with a wood wall behind the bed. You can get a double bed or 2 twin beds. Just step out the door & take a walk up to the castle.

Great hotel with many extras, great service on the reception, very friendly and helpful staff (we had a feeling they own this hotel). It was pretty expensive in August, but still worth it and very good. Book a room with balcony - the view from balcony is the most important part of this experience :) We enjoyed it very much. Thank you!
