We booked this hotel as we loved the idea of being able to use the spa everyday and the reviews sold it for us. We weren’t disappointed. We booked a half board package with spa access for 3 hours per day. We were allocated room 636 which had a view over the outside restaurant area. The cheeky picture window from the shower room into the bedroom made me smile. I personally didn’t have a problem with it but I would imagine for some it’s not to everyone’s taste. This could easily be solved with some frosting over the glass. The main buffet restaurant was a pure delight everyday. Breakfast was plentiful, with smoothie station, eggs cooked to your preference with omelette. A pancake station - enough choices for everyone. The evening choices usually came with a theme , Italian, street food, Mediterranean and Asian night. We also paid a supplement of 25.95 euros per person to eat in ‘Sidecar’ restaurant where we experienced a fantastic tasting menu. This would be highly recommended. We had noted that there was some building outside ( in the distance across from the golf course). This wasn’t a problem in the weekend but certainly does interrupt serenity with the sound of reversing trucks. This isn’t the hotels fault however I can foresee that this may well be an issue for the next 12 months or so. I used to enjoy watching the progress everyday! The rooftop bar and infinity pool for adults was sublime. I was surprised that there was no lounger service. I think the hotel is missing a trick here and would sell more drinks if this was the case. We used the hotel shuttle bus into maspalomas which drops you at the lighthouse. The transfer runs to time and is a great addition. We also had a hire car and used the underground car park. There is a 5 k running track around the golf course and I used this early in the morning before the golf buggy’s became active. The staff were happy and welcoming. I would recommend this hotel. Thank you for having us.…
Another fantastic stay at the Salobre Hotel Resort & Serenity, We left the teenagers behind this time and stayed as a couple in early January. Everything we as we remembered.. fantastic food, excellent facilities & attentive and professional staff. We like a relaxing and peaceful holiday and this is exactly what this hotel delivers. Only downside was going home. We will be back! Thank you for our wonderful stay 😀
We had a lovely quiet peaceful week, excellent hotel although abit remote so if you don't like golf or you want nightlife then not for you.shuttle bus to the beach and local town is free though. If you want sunshine, rest, golf, it's excellent. Could do with more eateries chooses. Pools heated, like bathes,11th floor pool with excellent views out to sea. Would definitely go back.
The hotel has a long way to go before it can call itself four or five star - at the moment, it is definitely no more than a three star. The devil is in the detail, and the details are being overlooked at Salobre. Some examples of this include thin, rough, worn towels (a couple of times, the towels even had holes in them!); food from the buffet was often lukewarm/undercooked (my husband had a piece of raw meat in his stew) and allergen labelling was haphazard and inconsistent; plates and cutlery were often dirty with bits of food stuck to them; the gym was good but most times I went there were no hand towels, paper towels and no hand sanitiser; most of the staff were great but there were a couple who clearly didn't want to be there and were snappy and rude; dirty sunbeds by the pool on the 11th floor (pointed out to me by a member of staff but no offer to clean them before we sat down); but the biggest issue we had was with the Sidecar restaurant. When we checked in, we were asked about any special dietary requirements, and told them I am vegetarian and my husband is a Coeliac. The next day, we went to reception to book a table at the Sidecar restaurant - and they duly booked us in for the following evening. So we arrived for our meal, were seated and then the waitress told us "oh no we don't cater for vegetarians" - nothing at all! I have been vegetarian for 35 years and have never gone to a restaurant in the last 20 years where they couldn't offer me anything at all. According to the waitress "this happens a lot" - so if that is the case, then there is clearly a need to change the menu?! So, we had to leave and went to reception to complain - why had they taken the booking when it was on the system that one of us was a vegetarian. The chap on reception basically said it wasn't his fault as it wasn't him who had taken the booking, so we asked if he would get the manager to contact us. We never heard from a manager, and three days later we raised this again on our last night when we were asked if we had enjoyed our stay and again, asked a manager to contact us so we could discuss this and a couple of other things - and we never heard from anyone, which is really poor. My preference is always to try to resolve things face to face, but we didn’t have that opportunity, despite trying to do so. So, all these seemingly "little details" are why this is a three star hotel. On the plus side, the housekeeping service was excellent, the room was nice and quiet with a good mattress so we slept well during our stay. There is a nice little Spar shop at the entrance to the resort, and a lovely restaurant also located there which looks over the golf course. Food and service there was great.…
Locations are fine as well as golf Food was buffet in main restaurant Cosy "side" restaurant for lunch and evening gathering Golf carst charged extra, not included in golf deal with out of bounds, felt like a hidden cost
Front desk couldn’t do enough to help you . Golf starters were so helpful arranging you don’t have slow play .buffet food and buffet diner had a great choice, and S club bar had great burgers , next time I go must try the restaurant overlooking the 5th &15th green . Just by the gate house & Spar supermarket.
Excellent food, service and rooms. Top floor pool with supernice sunsets. The resort is huge so it’s not crowded anywhere. Golf course is great and really taken care of - quit busy, so book in advance ! We will come back for sure:)
An exceptional hotel. My wife and myself have just returned from a Christmas holiday at this excellent hotel. We were extremely pleased with every aspect of our stay, the room, the food, the cleanliness were all of a high standard. The hotel management and the entire team at Salobre are a credit to the hotel. The excellent staff throughout the hotel must be highlighted, they are all professional, friendly and carry out a brilliant service. About the hotel - The hotel is immaculate throughout the facility, lovely pool areas, plenty of sunbeds with nice peaceful areas if you want to relax. The restaurant is exceptional, plenty of choice with freshly cooked food, outstanding. You have a 27 hole golf course which is brilliant. My wife and myself have had a wonderful holiday at this great hotel and we highly recommend you give it a try. …
We have stayed at Salobre many, many times, but our stay from 07.-17.12.2022 at the hotel was a bit stressful. We selected Salobre, because of its quiet atmosphere and surroundings. Now it is anything but quiet due to construction work on the hills surrounding the hotel. New holiday homes being built all over, so for us the hotel has lost something important, SERENITY. Our favourite place this time was the far corner of the the 11th floor and mine, as every time, the Sunset-pool by sunrise in the morning. The noise from the construction during working hours made it impossible to enjoy sitting on our terrace on Tunera, 9th floor. The staff at Salobre deserves a round of applaus for being so helpful and friendly.
