Beautiful location, very comfortable room, very tasty hot breakfast included with our room cost. We stayed two nights and breakfast was a different delicious meal each day. Judy met us when we arrived and we knew right away we would have a great stay. This lovely B and B is located on the Port de Grave Peninsula near Bay Roberts, NL. Lots to explore nearby: Green Point Lighthouse, Cupids and Brigus where the Hawthorne Cottage National Historic Site, the Brigus Tunnel and the Captain Robert Abram Bartlett Memorial are located.

We found a wonderful B&B on the Avalon Peninsula in Bareneed. The views at ‘Bayside B&B’ are fabulous. It is easy to find, and close to many hiking trails, restaurants and grocery stores if needed.
Judy our host was very friendly, and was more than willing to share information about Newfoundland and the area. She and her husband have created a beautiful home and opened it up to travellers. The B&B has a lovely sitting area for guests with an area offering coffee or tea at any hour. The breakfast room is large and bright with big windows to view the water and see various birds and whales. Judy created very generous and tasty breakfasts, and asked about allergies or preferences before she made them. The bedrooms are very clean, nicely decorated and include everything you need including a small fridge with fresh water.
We would highly recommend this B&B and hope to visit again some day.

Wish we could stay longer! We only had one night in the area, but we are absolutely going back and spending more time at this exquisite B&B. Large beautiful living room perfect for meeting friends in the area or other guests – there are 4 or 5 rooms, making this a perfect place to book for wedding guests, family or whomever. Breakfast was a real treat, and the view is remarkable.

We had the Blue Cove room, with the ensuite. Spacious, immaculately clean and very comfortable. The wall mounted TV is nice and big, perfect for watching from bed, and there's a shelf full of DVDs downstairs. Lots of nice touches throughout this property. They take pride in being the best in the area and it shows.

A note about the bathrooms: when we first looked at this B&B online, we booked the Blue Cove room because it had an ensuite (full bathroom in the room). The other rooms have private bathrooms in the hallway. We didn't think we liked the sound of that, but honestly, once we saw it we realized we'd have NO problem booking any of those rooms. The hallway itself is gorgeous, with high end furniture and a hardwood floor. All bedrooms are on the top floor, and share this hallway, and the Blue Cove room is at the end. Next to each room's door, there's an identical bathroom door with the same name, and guests get a key so it's super private, and your bathroom is only for your use. It's perfect, no need to worry about a thing.

Nothing about this B&B needs improvement, we think it's perfect. Judy was an incredible host, and she makes a mighty good breakfast. We look forward to supporting their business again. Highly recommend.

Sorry for being so tardy in replying to your lovely review! Thank you so much for detailing your stay with us. We get many return visitors once they discover just how close to St. John's we are and yet, we seem like we're in a different world. Our best feature, of course, is the views that can be enjoyed from every corner of our home. We hope to see you again and thank you gain for your kind words.

The Bayside was very nice, well located with lovely views of the water. It was close to the other towns we wanted to visit. The room with a water view was a bit small but the common area was spacious, comfortable and inviting, Our host Judy was very nice, accommodating and a great cook. The option of a homecooked evening meal was a plus. We enjoyed very much and would visit again and would recommend it to you.

My husband and I stayed at Bayside B and B for two nights over the May 24 weekend. We were so pleased with everything it had to offer. Our room was very tastefully decorated and the linens were top quality. We loved our room. The house itself overlooks the oceans edge and is so pretty.
Judy, the owner, is attentive to ever aspect of her B and B . From the wrapped and freshly laundered bath robes and extra blankets to the beautiful, amazing breakfast she served in the morning we were so impressed. Her attention to detail and safety especially in these COVID times was so apparent.

I am still thinking about her warm basil scones that she served with breakfast.
Thank you, Judy for your hospitality and attentiveness to our every need. I would highly recommend Bayside B and B.

We greatly appreciate you taking the time to write your review. And we're happy that you enjoyed your stay with us. We definitely try to think of everything that we can to make your stay with us an enjoyable experience. As you can tell, breakfast is definitely the highlight of the day and there's no place that I'd rather be than in the kitchen baking. Glad you enjoyed the scones--they're my specialty! You'll need to come back and try some of our other flavours. Please come again!

We enjoyed 5 nights at The Bayside B&B in their Blue Room. The location is ideal for day trips to all the popular tourist sites along the Baccalieu trail and the Bonavista Peninsula, as well as St. John's and the Irish Loop. The entire place is spotless, comfortable and inviting. Judy has mastered being a gracious and accommodating host. We looked forward to seeing what breakfast would be every morning and in our five days there no item was repeated, and all were delicious. We also enjoyed an optional dinner one evening. The view from the breakfast room is spectacular. We sincerely hope we can return one day to this beautiful spot and have no hesitation in recommending it to friends and family.

Fantastic views from this lovely B&B. Rooms were spotless, beds oh so comfy. Judy puts a nold bottle of their wonderful well water in your room. Downstairs you can always get tea and coffee. Us she leaves glasses out for your use. They even have a small ice machine in the hallway and ice buckets in your room.
The breakfasts were the best we have had in Newfoundland. Not the normal eggs and bacon one is offered. Although we have had several B&B who gave us other choices too. Judy also asks you to.let her know in advance is you have any food allergies.
She also offers an evening meal 5 nights a week. The menu. Items are on her website and you need to order at least a day in advance. I had the Moose pie with chips. The pastry was flaky and good. Loved the Moose filling. Nice chunks of Moose meat. The chips were perfectly cooked and homemade. My husband had the Moose burger with chips and thoroughly enjoyed it. Someone at another table had the fish and chips and said they were delicious.
We had the en-suite room which is quite large and at the front upstairs of the house. It too had a view of the ocean. The dining room has ocean views on two sides. They also have the colorful chairs on the lawn so you can sit and enjoy the view. In addition, there us a very nice back deck.

Judy is an exceptional host with a lovely home. The accommodations and surroundings are fantastic. Judy has created a very welcoming home for travelers to unwind after a busy day of sightseeing. She prepared us dinner upon our arrival that was delicious and the next morning’s breakfast was tasty.
We thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside overlooking the harbour. We’d definitely stay at the Bayside Bed and Breakfast in the future. If you’re in the area it’s a perfect place to stay.

I have a rollaway bed that can be set up in a few of the rooms. Blue Cove is the largest and can easily accommodate this single bed. Golden Bay and Grey River can also be used but it is less roomier. Green's Harbour is too small. There is also an additional charge of $25 for the third person.
