This b&b is not in St Austell but closer to Mevagissey and reached down a very narrow road into Pentewan. The house has a lovely view over the beach and and Wendy and Melvyn run a good operation. Our room was fairly spacious with a king size bed and good mattress - decent night's sleep! Breakfast was large and appetising...

From your upstairs room with a sweeping view of Pentewan Sands beach and Mevagissey Bay you will be at eye level with gulls that glide past. Monty, the friendly Airdale will welcome you along with his persons, Wendy and Mel. The rooms are large compared to what we've experienced elsewhere. The view from Ancient Shipbrokers has to be in the...

Quiet location. Great views from the gardens, pink bedroom and dining room of Pentewan beach and countryside. Room clean and comfortable with ensuite. The house is a lovely period property with great features especially the pink bedroom (unable to comment on other bedrooms but assume they are similar in decor and style). The hosts are friendly and offer advice on...

Stayed at this excellent b&b for the second year, very comfortable and welcoming, and an excellent breakfast. The campsite where our son daughter in law and grandson were staying was nearby, which made it easy for us to enjoy a meal and a drink with them and not worry about driving.

Very welcoming from the moment I arrived. I was in the pink room which had a double aspect. The one window had a fabulous view of the sea. I spent 3 nights and the breakfast each morning was excellent. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

I had a corner room with a beautiful view of the Cornish coast. Room was cozy but very thoughtfully equipped. Very clean and comfortable. And a fabulous breakfast each morning. Only one tip...hit the shower early to avoid fluctuating temperatures.

Lovely place, lovely people at the helm with Mel steering a crackin' full English right onto the breakfast table to start the day, lovely village with excellent pub just a stone's throw away. Very comfortable en suite room with plenty of options of the tea/coffee variety to use the kettle for plus the considerately provided wine glasses and telly if...

My mam and I had a wonderful stay at the Ancient Shipbrokers Inn. We had the rooms facing the sea and they were lovely! Very clean and comfortable with all amenities. Wendy and Mel were very welcoming and very helpful. Mel's breakfast was to die for especially his scrambled eggs! Would highly recommend a stay here. If we ever get...

Three night short break with Mum and Ancient Shipbrokers was just perfect for what we wanted. The house is set high up with a lovely terrace out front from which there are great views of the beach. Our rooms both faced out to the sea and were nicely furnished and comfortable. Electric showers in both ensuites worked and small selection...
