We had a delightful dinner one evening at the restaurant (we weren't staying at the hotel). They have a very nice outdoor terrace, good Corsican menu, very friendly service and a good selection of Corsican wines. We had been told the restaurant was nothing special by some locals but were pleasantly surprised that they were wrong. Galeria is a very small fishing village that caters to tourists...but it is a quiet place and Restaurant/Hotel Palazzu is a perfect place to spend an evening (and probably stay). It would appear the owners have invested a good deal and the place is modern and clean.

We stayed in a studio for 3 nights. It was equipped with a kitchen, a washing machine and a small garden with a table, laundry hanger and a deck chair. We loved having dinner and enjoyed the sunset sky there. SPAR mini-market was just next to the hotel. It was really really handy. The beach of Galeria was 5 minutes walk and down the stairs from the hotel. However, I preferred the amazing beach at Delta du Fango, just 15 minutes walk (3 min by car) from the hotel, close to Torra di Galeria. It was pristine and relaxing with beautiful mountain background. We enjoyed the stay at Palazzu very much.

We stayed here in one of the studios, which was blessed with a lovely view of the sea and mountains. Okay, there were a few telegraph wires and a few tombs to get past first, but only really noticeable on photos as my eyes were always firmly fixed on the flotilla of leisure boats in the morning or the stunning sunsets later. Our studio was equipped with the essentials, however British guests may like to bring a travel kettle with them. We were surprised to find a separate bedroom (sleeping was no problem). The air conditioned studio was very clean, comfortable and with its own little garden with a patio, with that view! Galeria is about an hour from anywhere, we had no phone signal here, and their wi-fi is restricted (enough for holiday needs, yes.... keeping in touch on social media or the office, forget it!), so this is very much a 'get away from it all' destination. That said, There are two good (pebble and shingle mix) beaches, good local shops and restaurants near by, including a Spar next door. There is a lovely relaxing pool area, and a very nice restaurant on site (with that view); a little bit pricey but the meal we had was excellent. It was very peaceful here in spite of the proximity of the only road into Galeria, and would recommend to everyone looking to get away and leave everything behind.…

The room was big and comfortable with a nice view on the sea. The swimming pool was pleasant, the breakfast was good. As it was the end of the season (two days before the winter closing), the restaurant was closed and the WiFi deactivated but the friendly and helpful staff found alternate.

This a super hotel with good facilities in a stunning location The hotel is run exceptionally well - it is an example of how good a family hotel can be. Room - clean, spacious, great view. Immaculate.
