We stayed here for three nights in June. The rooms are very comfortable and any problems with water pressure in the shower have been solved! The hosts were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. There was no shortage of places to visit: we went to the zoo at Doué, on the host's recommendation, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We stayed just the one night but were delighted with the attention to detail and welcome provide by David and Patsy. The rooms were very comfortable and private and the breakfast in the courtyard was memorable (in a very good way). Although we only used it as a stopover we'd certainly consider this as a destination in its own right... More

Very relaxing stay, hospitable, clean and top quality. Great breakfast was served at whatever time we wanted. Boys enjoyed the pool table and football table. Very comfortable beds etc. Enjoyed our local Snail festival experience although did not brave trying the snails! Would recommend highly a stay at David and Patsy's B&B

We arrived at Les Escargots late at night after a very long drive and were met by David and Patsy who promptly provided a glass of wine and gave us time to unwind before showing us to our room, which was absolutely perfect. The. breakfast the following morning was better than most hotels provide and was catered to our needs... More

My fiance and I recently stayed at Les Escargots while searching for the right wine for our upcoming wedding. Not only was this the perfect location for the most amazing wines I have ever tasted but David and Patsy were incredible (and very knowledgeable) hosts! Our room was spotless, comfortable and spacious; the bed was very plush and the shower... More

We booked one night at David and Patsy's 3-room B&B with 3 days' notice. Les Escargots was easily found, in the centre of the village. We arrived late to be greeted by David who let us park in their private courtyard, and found a cot already set-up in our room for our daughter, complete with a hand-knitted blanket. Our room... What a great place, we arrived and were made to feel really welcome and immediately handed a glass of the local wine. The rooms are new, lovely and clean and really comfy beds, there is a pool table and a table football table to use which was great fun. Oh and Patsy's pancakes for breakfast were lovely.

David and patsy looked after our small group superbly. Clean, comfy rooms and showers and the lounge area was a great spot to relax and chat. Would recommend Les Escargots to anybody.

Excellent in every respect: very stylish comfortable accommodation and a beautifully appointed large breakfast room/lounge complete with evening tea and coffee-making facilities. There are ample opportunities for indoor games, reading, listening to music, TV and videos. Outside there is a pretty courtyard area with secure parking. Vauchretien is an attractive village and the enchanting Chateau in nearby Brissac - Quince... More

David and Patsy were once again the perfect hosts. As always, we were impressed by the quality of our en suite bedroom, the well-equipped communal area, the secure parking and the plentiful breakfasts (taken outside in good weather), including freshly squeezed orange juice and various types of bread collected daily from the local baker's. This is an ideal spot to... More
