I won't comment on the construction, but yes the timeshare building (which the hotel claims isn't part of the hotel) is under construction and the noise is horrendous Monday–Friday.

This is one of the most beautiful hotels we have stayed in. It would have 5 plus stars easily if we weren’t so disappointed by the noise. If you are out all day 8-5 it will not bother you.

Hard to say. The demolition of the hotel interiors was just being finished two weeks ago. Likely the jackhammers will be replaced by interior work, although it appears that there will be much additional exterior additions... More

Our room #713 was considered a partial ocean view, but had a great view of the property and ocean. Yes, you will be above and behind the condo structure, but by that time I would guess it will be interior work. The room was so soundproof that it never bothered me. The ground keepers and their mowers and blowers were as loud.
