Long Bay Beach Resort is a boutique oceanfront resort located on Tortola in the British Virgin Islands. Situated on a mile of pristine white sand and Caribbean sea, the resort features a gourmet restaurant, hip beach bar, and luxury hotel suites, each with its own outdoor patio, lounge area, and sea view showers. No detail is overlooked. The gourmet restaurant, which is located inside a renovated sugar mill from 1748, features island style tapas, house-made flatbreads, and local caught seafood. A garden on the property supplies fruits, vegetables, and herbs to the restaurant and cocktail bar. The design of the property is trendy yet casual, perfectly encapsulating the laidback luxury of the British Virgin Islands.

Cannot say enough about this beautiful resort on this incredible beach with professional staff who are kind and more than helpful. Mr. Anthony helped us on a daily basis in so many ways. We are very grateful for his kindness. Also, the restaurant is excellent and very creative. We look forward to hopefully returning one day. Just loved everything about this place.

Hotel's Favourite
Just WOW! We were a little hestitant at first since it’s about 40min from the airport and no pool (looking to have one in near future) But we are so glad we booked here! Akil, the hotel manager greeted us like we’ve never been greeted at check in. Our rooms were not ready so he offered us to sit at the restaurant porch overlooking the ocean, the views and ambiance were breathtaking. He served us drinks as we waited, and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. The property is landscaped with gorgeous tropical flowers, bamboo decor and stone. When our rooms were ready, Akils service was top notch 5 star. He was our personal butler, concierge and bartender. We felt like royalty. He personally gave us a tour of each of our 3 individual rooms. The views, bathrooms and room layout are fantastic! Pictures don’t do this justice, you just have to experience yourself. We were speechless. Local Restaurants are close by, we recommend a taxi service or drive. It seemed the town came alive on a Thursday, we arrived on a Tuesday and things seemed to be closed. Remember the BVI is definitely on “island time,” no rushing, just complete relaxation and took their time. It took a minute for us coming from the USA to adjust. Highly recommend Sebastian’s Restaurant, and Anne Bonny sailing Charters out of Village Cay Marina very close by about 9 minutes. Contact daisy@annebonnycrew.com for more info.

I am reluctant to write this review as this place has only just opened up and would love for it to be kept secret. It is reachable from New York for a long weekend and considering other options that are available this is by far a standout. We stayed at the St Regis the week before in a $5k a night suite in Puerto Rico and this place was so much better. You do need to be an adventurous swimmer (which me and my girlfriend are) as this is not an easy beach to wade out into for a swim. But if you love to surf and swim in some real swell then this place is fun. The fit outs of the room and overall hotel is incredibly high end. I am just going to be disappointed when everyone finds this little gem and the price is somewhere near the St Regis! Thanks to Akil who made everything run seamlessly and congratulations to the owner Brian on fitting this place out with the some of the highest end fit out of any hotel I have seen.

This place is absolutely beautiful. They have paid attention to every detail. The rooms are spacious and have the most amazing views, even from the shower! I mean, who showers looking out over the ocean? I even loved the shampoo and body wash that was provided. After my shower, I slipped into my robe that was waiting for me and headed out to the balcony. The bedding is extra cozy. Extra pillows are provided. After a great nights sleep, I awoke in coffee heaven! They have French press coffee in the room! Made myself a cup and headed to the beach. Now, the best part of this resort…Akil. He is amazing. He kept tabs on when we would be arriving. Had our rooms ready, with a welcome run punch drink. He drove us down the street to lunch. Unclogged our shower in less than 5 minutes. Acquired snorkel gear for us and helped us with dinner reservations. He is ABSOLUTELY amazing! There are a couple things to consider. One, your only water source is the beach. It’s super rough and really rocky. While it’s beautiful, it’s really not a great place to swim. It didn’t matter to us but if you were staying several days, I’d think about that. Second, while the chef makes delicious food- he only makes it when he feels like it. We tried to have lunch, we were all starving, and we were told the chef would be ready at one time, then 30 minutes more, then another 30 minutes…they hoped. We tried to have dinner at 7:00. That didn’t work for him, so we were bumped to 8:00. We were the first 4 people at breakfast, soon after another 5 people were seated, and after 45 minutes of waiting we were told the chef was “very busy.” Again, food was good but it was a big disappointment that a place this beautiful allows a chef to act in such a manner. All in all, I’d visit again. Akil is so very welcoming and the rooms truly are amazing! We will just plan to dine somewhere else.

I absolutely love the vibe of this hotel. It’s super beautiful and the decor in the rooms and around the hotel makes it very unique. The beds are really comfortable and by far the best. I love waking up and falling asleep hearing the waves from the beach. The resort itself is peaceful and the staff are very attentive and friendly. I highly recommend.
