I had supper here with two friends on Friday 25 Oct 2019 and it was perfect. Between us we had mains of roast goat leg, sea bass and fillet steak....all faultless. The dining room is spacious and tranquil...the service was immaculate....I can't see how it could be improved.

I stayed here on a special purpose trip to visit the Gredos mountains. This hotel is in the country at the base of these mountains. The hotel is small but quite spacious. The room was large and the restaurant was large and roomy. The service was good but they spoke limited English. Speaking Spanish would be a large benefit to staying here and traveling in this area in general. I ate breakfast and dinner here and was pleased with both. The breakfast was simple as one would expect for a small hotel. The dinner choices were many. The Spanish do like their food.

This hotel deserves more than 3 stars. The room and bathroom were really big and clean, the staff is very friendly, grounds are really nice and you have amazing views of the mountains. The breakfast is excellent and the restaurant food are very good although not cheap. Very good choice for traveling with a baby. They have high chairs in the restaurant and the pool is fenced off.

After a 6 hour drive we were greeted warmly by Maria at the hotel. We chose this particular hotel as it was dog friendly. The setting was perfect in large grounds with a salt water swimming pool. Our room was comfortable with a largish ensuite shower room. Great views over the surrounding land. Dinner in the restaurant was first class. Breakfast the same. Nothing is too much trouble here, I would definitely recommend it and certainly come back again if visiting this area.

We happened upon Hotel Llano Tineo when a shopkeeper in the village recommended it. Otherwise, I'm sure we'd have passed by in our search for a simple hostal. Great stay, with a picture-perfect view of the snow-capped Sierra de Gredos from the room. Maria is a really friendly and talkative host. In the restaurant, try the little squid in ink sauce – it's an exquisite dish. Breakfast is fantastic – fresh fruit, home-made yoghurt, home-made jams and marmalades... Thanks for an unexpected experience!

A wonderful, rural hotel run by two of the kindest, most attentive hosts I have ever had the pleasure to meet. The food in the restaurant was delicious, the breakfasts were fantastic, and the mountain views were stunning. My one tip would be to bring a car as the area is very rural and there is no public transport, with limited options for taxis. As it happened, I did not have a car, and was stuck in Candeleda (a local town) the afternoon of the day I was supposed to arrive at the hotel unable to get a taxi despite calling several companies. I called the hotel out of desperation and was surprised when Miguel offered to drive the 40 minute round-trip to come pick me up. He is a true gentleman and along with his wife Maria ensured I had a lovely, relaxing stay. I cannot thank them enough for their kindness and hospitality and only hope they receive such kindness when they travel abroad. Highly recommend this hotel as a base to explore this beautiful region of Spain.

We didn't stay in the hotel, but had a Christmas dinner in the restaurant. Very nice atmosphere, we were sitting next to the fire place. The service and the food were excellent. A good range of dishes and wines.

It depends on the definition of “best hotel”. Is this the most luxurious hotel? I would say no. There are more luxurious hotels in the world of course, but … the rooms are very nice, well decorated with nice colors and original art. Rooms are spotless and beds are comfortable. Is this hotel located in the most amazing spot? There are more amazing spots in the world but the view on the mountains is just splendid. I could gaze at those mountains for hours. The time of the year (springtime) was an advantage as there were many colors in the landscape. Does this hotel serve the best food in the world? Other places have Michelin stars but in some of these one cannot enjoy food so relaxed as in this hotel. They provide high-level and honest Bask dishes that are surprisingly good. Having their wonderful breakfast on the terrace in the morning is the best way to start a new day. Does this hotel provide the best quality service? Yes. Definitely, yes! The hospitality and dedication to service, provided by María, Manuel and their team, is an example for all people who want to work in hotel business. Nothing was too much to ask. We felt immediately at home and very welcome. Although breakfast started at 09:00, I went downstairs at 07:00 to check my emails and work until the rest of the family came down at 09:00. I was so pleased with Manuel’s excellent coffee that he prepared for me at 07:00. Even when I had to get up at 06:00 in the morning, my coffee and some cake was being prepared by Manuel. Every single request was treated with diligence and with a friendliness that is so heart-warming. Therefore, I would classify Llano Tineo as the best hotel, I have stayed in thus far. Maria, Manuel, next year we will be back!

Maria gave us what must be our warmest welcome ever in an hotel; and it was genuine. Manolo and Maria have considerable courage to build this lovely establishment in such an isolated spot. Our room was ample and attractive. The hotel is built with excellent materials and with an eye to detail. The same may be said of the retaurant, with its curving pastel walls, niches and nice lighting. Some-one obviously put a lot of thought into the design and building. The hotel is some 900 metres from the "main" road, which anyway doesn't have much traffic. The little road that lgoes past to the hotel is generally deserted. Dinner is excellent, with some original first courses; the winelist is good. Breakfast too is very satisfactory, with freshly squeezed orange juice, a variety of bread, cheese and meats and Maria is keen to cook eggs. The owners look after you in such a friendly way that you feel both an honoured guest and a part of the family (in the best possible sense!). My only criticism would be the piped music, both in dining area and on the outside terraces. It's unnecessary (even invasive) in such a rural environment. If you're on your own Manolo willingly turns the music off. When there are other people he seems to feel the music is necessary so that one doesn't hear other guests conversations. We were there on a beautiful weekend in September and only one other room was occupied, so no worries about overcrowding. The restaurant, justifiably, was doing good business from non-residents, though given the sophistication of the dining room, atmosphere was convivial but restrained, which in many rural hotels in Spain is not the case! We were here two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel opened less than a year ago so everything is shining new. Go there while it's still so pristine!
