We, two couples arrived here around noon and were able to check in for a two night stay. Although room rates were the same, one couple had a studio, while the couple had a separate living room and bedroom. You may want to clarify your room. The restaraunt was closed on Mondays, our first night, so we ate a picnic supper in the courtyard. We ate dinner the next night at the hotel restarant which was good. Breakfast was included rack morning and was good. The hotel is family run. The grandmother was in the room next to ours and had family visitors throughout our stay. The room is very simple, shower very tiny. The location is beautiful, amidst fields and vineyard. We had lunch and tour of the Emery vineyard next door and it was one of the highlights of our vacation.
Perhaps the fact that we were there in off season reflected in our stay. Who knows. The place had a tired worn out feeling with many areas badly needing maintenance and attention. While I recognize that the theme is farm house, it is no excuse to not provide nice decor. New bed covers are needed. The shower needed upgrading. Some decent bathroom amenities would be nice. The staff was both nice and short at the same time. Not really one of my favorite stops.
We were desperate to get out of our accommodations in Leporano Marina and got to spend merely 2 days there in the cabins (all that was left at the last minute) they were clean. I was very pleased to find that the products in the bathroom were environmentally friendly. We felt safe, the staff were extremely polite and helpful. It left us with a much better opinion of the area, we just chose wrongly to start with at our former 'apartamento'. The restaurant was nice, breakfast could be improved upon with hot food. The private beach was a long walk in the heat from the parking lot, good food and service there. The grounds were lovely.
For the third year running we went back to the Tenuta del Barco and we were welcomed by Nicola, Antonio and all the staff as part of the family. We had a super time.. and the quality of the reception was as always at it's best. A special consideration goes for breakfast, with a real large variety of delicious cakes, homemade jams and warm croissants, accompanied by fruits, toasts, eggs.. a wonderful beginning for the day. The sea side resort is as always hostpitable with comfortable sunbeds and a marvellous sea. We moved to the seaside by mountain bike offered by the Tenuta. We played soccer in the soccer field which can also be used as a Tennis court, so the kids were happy. We stayed in the old portion of the Tenuta in a spacious room with a high ceiling with double windows, so there was good ventilation at night, without using the air conditioner. We had dinner for a couple of evenings in the inner yard of the Tenuta, the overall quality and service was good. The general atmosphere is relaxing, the gardens are well kept.We certainly recommend the place for who wihes to visit Puglia, it's close to major tourists sites like Martina Franca, Grottaglie, Locorotondo, Albero Bello, Caves of Castellana, Lecce.…
We spent one week in this hotel. The location is good for those who has a car because nearby you can not find nothing, not a small shop. But you can have a beautiful walk for 40 minutes to the beach. By the way, the beach is very good and not expensive. The territory of the hotel is very nice, green, full of flowers and trees. The staff is nice friendly and try to do everything you need. But .. the stuff can not do nothing with terrible internet and mosquitoes. Better to say that the hotel doesn’t have internet at all. Breakfast is quite good with big selection of cakes, fruit, and so. You can order good coffee and if you want also hot dish as omelet. Tenuta includes also the restaurant for dinner and vinoteca for tasting and buying wines. The restaurant is very expensive and with very strange kitchen what means that is better to go for dinner to another place. Selection of wines in the vinoteca is good but the staff seems to be sleeping all day long. For make the hotel better and even luxury they can do some things...repair the pool, do something against mosquitoes, buy normal internet and some routers, and change the chef of the restaurant.…
