One of the most relaxing hotels I have visited. Hard to describe the wonderful other era feel. Each room is named, we stayed in the "opera room" with a balcony overlooking Lake Chapala. The beds are out of this world comfy and I think they have a fireplace in every room which they will light if you happen to be... More

Been waiting........ close to an hour for the plumber who is outside our door with the rest of the staff celebráting a birthday......to address the no water pressure issue in our bathroom. This has been our past go-to spot when we wanted to run away from home. The facilities remain lovely.....if u look past the hole in our bathroom wall;... More

We had vacationed in Chapala to check it out as a possibility for retirement. This hotel has only a few rooms, on 2 floors, (no elevator) all in different decorated themes. It was recommended to us. We stayed in the Alma Latina room because we needed 2 beds (3 of us). I believe all the other rooms only had 1... More

This hotel is in a perfect location along the strand with small but comfortable rooms/bathroom, good beds and assorted pillows, high quality linens and towels, dependable housekeeping, complimentary refills of bottled water, showers with good water pressure and ample hot water, friendly service from the staff, and a small but decent continental breakfast served daily on a lovely patio. Arrived mid week to Guadalajara and used their shuttle service to and from the airport. Manager was there on time and the entire staff was outstanding and very helpful since the moment I arrived. Room was clean and bed was quite comfortable. Breakfast was simply but very good. Location was perfect, walking distance to most points of interest. Quiet, safe... More

Stayed one night in room Opera, facing the malecon with a nice balcony. Service was great, drinks at the bar were good, wi-fi strong. Bed linens were first rate and pillows too. First class all the way!

Very friendly staff, clean and safe place to stay! The manager went out of his way to take us on a tour of Tequila. Lots of good memories there. The town is very nice, though surprisingly they didnt have many good margaritas :)

I would recommend this hotel 95% it is located in a very nice area. It is clean, safe, comfortable hotel. However, rooms are small for the price charged, they are called luxurious; i guess by their standards. I would recommend anyone planing a stay here to do an inventory of items in room or personal would try to pull one... More

We loved this recent (3 yrs) renovation from a Lakeside mansion into an exceptional hotel...beautiful grounds...lovely, extremely comfortable rooms, all different...a extremely helpful and efficient staff that bent over backwards to accomodate and anticipate our every wish. Convenient to restaurants and shops. Not to be missed.
