Average Rooms, Pricing is High, Location Ok and would not recommend for family members to visit as cleanliness in rooms could have been improved. Staff average and rooms are not so good. Strange the pricing is also high
Having stayed in tens of resorts in sakleshpur ,chikmagalur, we tried this as a base for our treks mainly to malavalli falls. Very basic resort, expensive for the quality of food, mainatainence of property etc. Pool is good and place worth a visit only for location.
The resort publishes its tent for 4ppl occupancy, which is a wrong at first. It has 2dbl beds & 2single beds, easily another 2beds/mats can be added so that a large group of 6-8ppl can be accommodated. Wonder why they wrong publicise, they can rent them out for groups. Tents are with basic facilities and nothing great. Food is pretty expensive and taste is below average. They follow military rule for food timing. Cut off for lunch, dinner, snacks, etc... agreed that arranging buffet helps this way. But they don’t offer any other option to order from menu, so you’re forced to buy buffet which happens to be an expensive choice. If you wake up early morning & try to get water/tea, coffee... restaurant is closed. We had to forcefully wake up some people to get water bottles at 6am. Errr.... Facilities - pool is the main attraction. Its not a big one & may be if one group occupies it others will definitely feel cramped. …
We checked into the resort on Sat afternoon by lunch time, the location was correctly available in the maps.. The lunch was unlimited buffet which was tasty and covering all varieties.. One point to mention about the service is that there was a group in the neighbouring room who were having a nice time boozing but we being family with a toddler requested for room change.. We were given a different room after a while which was way more peaceful and we had lovely time.. My daughter enjoyed totally throughout 👍😊 Worth the stay for family and kids.. My daughter enjoyed the pool as well and the play area.. The staff is very much amicable and polite..
EKA Resort is about an hour drive from Sakleshpur and is located in the middle of a forest and easily accessible by car. My First impressions were that this is a small property with just 9 rooms and one swimming pool. There is nothing else available in the resort to keep Kids occupied (apart from the pool). The Rooms are clean and maintained well, however in certain Rooms the AC is not working (Point to be considered if you are travelling in Summer). They had a SPA facility which is budget friendly and the Guy does provide amazing Foot and Body massages for a very small price. The Food options are very Limited (They are not costly) with just 1 option for Veg and Non Veg. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone travelling with Family as there is hardly anything to keep you occupied and you will be confined to your rooms. During the Evening, they will arrange a campfire for people to get together and watch big screen and order snacks or have dinner. Overall an Average resort and definitely needs improvement on Food, Customer Service and adding more activities. Would not recommend this for people travelling in groups or folks who prefer outdoors more than indoors.…
We checked in on a Sunday afternoon, nd we were greeted well by the courteous staff. The place is well built , wit options for family type travellers and for big groups ( there is a separate set up wit bunk beds n al ) . The pool ( though not big ) is well maintained . There is ample space to relax and wind around. There is good play area for kids. Food is well served. ( we wanted the Jain option, and the cook was happy to make it for us) . We went on to visit Bisle Ghat and Mookinamane waterfalls, which aren't too far from here .. The rooms are good and well maintained . Though the lighting could be a bit better , it's not a specific complaint . Wi-Fi is available only near the reception , and it's awesome tat time in the room Wi-Fi doesn't intrude into our privacy. :-) Overall , it's a great place and if you are choosing a place around Sakleshpur , go for this one without thinking twice..…
If you are a peace lover like me, avoid this place. If you are of the noisy party type and dont mind survivable food, this is the place for you! I stayed in tent cottage which was good and the power shower was definitely nice after a the long bike ride from Bangalore. We went for nature but landed in the lap of noise. Music / karaoke was being played by the resort management till late in the night. Food was ok nothing worth praising about. Pool was ok too.
I visited Eka resort with my friends and colleagues last week. The resort is located in the midst of coffee estate. Staff were very courteous and friendly. Early morning walk in the coffee estate is very nice. Overall a very good place to stay near sakleshpur
