Rather bland restaurant, but very good food, and good service. It was fairly quiet when we ate. Went on a stack deal, but ordered starters and additions, food well presented, tasty and well cooked. Good news the bar has draft ales, Tribute and Jail, so a good evening guaranteed.

Second year in a row we had our Christmas meal here and again the food was excellent, very good service and amazing value for money you cannot get a better Christmas meal in plymouth the choice for each course is always tempting , whatever you have you will not be disappointed, even the drinks are reasonably priced.

We stayed here to celebrate a big birthday so paid a bit more for the Wotter room but it was well worth it with beautiful views across the moors and out to sea. We dined in the restaurant (booking advised) and the food was very good (we had the 8oz fillet steak cooked rare perfectly) and found the house red...

Staff are extremely friendly, welcoming & very helpful. Our room was pleasant with plenty of tea, coffee & great views of the adjacent moors. Breakfast was ample,we chose the full English option too which was well worth the extra £2.50 pp & again the staff were most attentive & courteous. This is a great find, hidden in the moors & well worth a...

We stayed on Saturday night on a groupon deal. We also stayed last year about the same time. Room was nice with hot water and big bath towels. We had a meal at the hotel which was superb. I recommend the sirloin steak, the breakfast was also very good and service was of very high standard. Recommend it

We stayed here for one night on the way to Cornwall, great location in a part of Dartmoor we didn't know. Very comfortable clean and warm room. Extremely friendly and helpful staff and we had an extremely good dinner. The house red wine is very good!

The Moorland Hotel is, not unsurprisingly, on the Moor, Dartmoor that is. The last few miles of the journey were interesting, to say the least, with narrow lanes and passing places, but it is well worth it for the welcome on arrival. The staff were brilliant, the location is excellent with views of Dartmoor on one side, and the sea...

We stayed here for two nights in the Wotter Room. The photos of the room on the main website for the hotel doesn't do it justice! For the price paid, it was fantastic value. It's a very large room, I think it sleeps up to a family of four, but we stayed as a couple so there were two nice...
