Detailed Reviews
If you are thinking of staying in Cornwall you won't be disapointed staying at The Old Workshop. From the wonderful welcome from hosts Tony and Jerry to much needed tips and friendly advice. We had bikes with us and Jerry kindly let us keep them in his workshop for safe keeping, not only did they look after them they gave us tips on where to go and advice on how steap some of those dam hills were!!!! The rooms are immaculate with beautiful finishing touches, such as Jerry's fantastic art work, which can purchased from his workshop. Nothing is too much bother from these delightful hosts. Always available to go the extra mile, I for one will certainly be back. Thank you for making our holiday magical.

I stopped in the Lamorna room. The room is very spacious with a comfortable bed and plenty of storage. The decor is beautiful and matches the small stained glass window between the bathroom and bedroom. The bathroom is very large with a good shower. Not relevant to me but there is also a makeup table and stool in the bathroom. The hosts clearly think of everything to make the stay comfortable (small fridge, makeup towel, international socket converter). There is a bus stop for the number 8 bus right outside which will get you into Penzance on an evening out if you don’t want to drive and taxis can be got at the station or from local taxi firms (roughly £12).

It was just excellent. Tony was so helpful and friendly and I had everything I needed - comfortable bed, spacious room and fab ensuite. The location is perfect for all the best views in Cornwall - and whilst it's just off the A30 the room is completely quiet. Some places just have a welcoming, homely atmosphere - this is definitely one of those. I'll be back! Thank you 💙

This accommodation is clean and well presented. There are 2 rooms in the main building and one looked bigger than the other but pricing might be the same. No real complaints but all other places we have stayed at the £100 per night mark offered breakfast, even a basic continental. But Lands End accommodation appreared tight and expensive so maybe it was ok.

Once again thank you for the review and pleased to hear you found the room clean and well presented. As you will see many past guests also share you opinion on our exceptional accommodation. The other room you mentioned is smaller as is the pricing for it. We are somewhat half the price to Lands End. With reference to your comments both on here and BDC that we don't do breakfast here as we are a room only as per the listing. We do however encourage our guests to get out there and support the local restaurants, cafes, shops etc whose expertise in cooking a breakfast far exceeds ours. We do hope you went and supported the local businesses? As a little tip for you and your wife. Its might be worth considering booking well advance if you require a BNB rather than as you did here 6pm in the evening on a holiday weekend when everything was almost sold out. You may also like to consider booking direct with an establishment where prices are can be 10-20% lower than the On Line Platforms who charge owners almost 20% commission to advertise on their sites which obviously had to be added to the room price. I hope this clears up your concerns as to our business and pricing strategy!

We stayed for one night in September in a double room with en suite. The location is excellent for the Minack and Penwith. Accommodation was clean, very comfortable and we felt it was reasonably priced. Provision of a mini fridge, kettle, cutlery and dishes in our room was very useful. Tony is a great host, helpful, friendly and went out of his way to make us feel welcome. We would definitely stay again.

Enjoyed a very comfortable four night stay at the Old Workshop.
The room was beautifully clean and well appointed. The owners Tony and Jeremy were very friendly helpful with tips on the restaurants and places to visit in the area. Highly recommended- Jeremy is also a world class artist with a studio on the premises! Will definitely be back.

Very comfortable, exceptionally equipped and very homely cottage that is easy to locate, easy to use as a base for West Cornwall and quiet to relax in. Our second stay and this won’t be our last. Tony and Jerry are the very best of hosts who offer a warm welcome and loads of advice on the best places to eat out

Fabulous week in this lovely accommodation - the rooms are immaculate, tasetfully decorated and the owners are just so lovely and helpful. You also have the use of a kitchen with fridge, microwave and toaster so you can do your own breakfast and lunch packups. Also great to look at Jerrys beautiful paintings in his workshop - a real treat. The property is so ideally located to get to the fab beaches, St Michaels Mount the Minack Theatre and straight into Penzance and Lands end. There are also some great gardens to visit locally and quant villages.

We stayed here in mid May. Tony and Jerry were fantastic hosts who made us very welcome and ensured that our stay was hassle free. Comfortable, well equipped and complete with our own in-house exhibition of Jerry’s stunning paintings, the cottage is ideally placed to explore the beauty of the coast around West Penwith as well as stunning beaches, some well known and others that are still tucked away out of the main spotlight. We can highly recommend this as a great property to stay at any time of the year
