We are vegan and it took a while for us to be taken care of like we should have at this type of resort. My friends had different issues and all of them complained about the food and the restaurants. It took time for the manager of the hotel to come to us and take care of the different issues we had. I would generally expect more from what is supposedly one of the best hotels in the world

From start to end this hotel was above 5stars. We chose location so we can take a bit from the airport as opposed to sea plane. We were greeted and transported in an amazing yacht with great onboard service. Ride was nice and smooth with bathroom and bedroom to freshen up in and beverages served. We arrived to a warm welcome. We stayed in villas on the beach as opposed to in the water. Both were amazing. Villas are beautiful, spacious and luxurious. Your outdoor space is also amazing. Bikes are provide to each villa so was nice way to transport around. Breakfast was vast. Hotel has many eateries so we enjoyed many of them. Beach area and pools have great food and drinks. We stayed 3 nights at this Paradise on Earth. I loved every minute of it, staff of all functions were so attentive, professional and friendly. My special thanks to Esmee, liyaaz, Naanu, Brian and I am sorry I forgot some names....... This was without doubt the best beach holiday we've ever been. Went for our 4th wedding anniversary and couldn't have asked for more . The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and relaxed. Truly exceptional experience for the whole family. The recognition for Hilton Honors elite members, the grand welcome on arrival, the specially curated experiences with Dining....list goes on and on.. Certainly delivered a well crafted experience for the entire family. Room is top notch and special appreciation should go to house keeping team (forgot the name). Quality, variety and taste of food is awesome. Probably a little pricey, but it is expected in this type of resort. We have been going to the Maldives for the past 10 years, usually trying out a new place each time, but Waldorf Maldives is the only resort which we have returned to. Pros: - The villas are spacious, large, and well equipped with smart controls and modern amenities. All villas have a plunge pool and a very large breezy cabana for relaxing. - This is a larger resort style with many activities, it's hard to get bored - From multiple dining outlets, tennis courts, pools, spa options, exercise pavillions, excursion options, it's one of the best equipped hotels in the Maldives. We were here for a week celebrating our anniversary. Although the flight was dreadfully long to get to Maldives, they make it so worth it from the moment you get out of the airport. Villas are spacious, private & beautiful. Both restaurants and in villa dining were delicious every meal! Breakfast is still our favorite. I can’t stress enough how helpful and attentive everyone was, from staffs to managers. They always check in on you to make sure you are enjoying every minute of your stay. They made it so hard to leave. We can’t wait to be back. My only advice is to stay longer !!!
