This is undoubtedly still the best option in Hora Sfakia. The location and the standard of the rooms sets it apart from the rest. It is the furthest along the quayside from the bus stop and ferry pier, but is still less than a five minute walk - however, this makes it more peaceful as regards its location. The rooms...

We have known this hotel for some few years now and we always find ourselves going back. The location is perfect: the rooms more than adequate, if short on comfort and little amenities like some bottled water as a gift in the fridge. The cleanliness remains good: the cleaning staff lovely. The hotel is managed by George who also owns...

This is a good value hotel in a great spot in Hora Sfakion. Our room on the first floor was quiet and comfortable but narrow and dark. We liked having a balcony overlooking the sea and spent three nights here to hike in the region. The location is just a few steps from restaurants and an easy walk to the...

First of all, I have to explain the caption Greek!. This is more to do with the hotel restaurant.... A message to everyone who saunters into this beautiful harbour, and is unable to resist the smile and banter of certain people !..... you are missing out on a more typically Greek taverna.....where there is an open invitation to enter the...

We had never intended staying in Sfakia but were so taken with it after passing through on our way back from the Samaria gorge, we ended up staying 4 nights at the Xenia. Its hard to put into words what a magical place this is. Much of it is down to the hospitality and warmth of the people, not least...

This year was the second in succession that my wife and I have stayed here. Just as good as the first. Rooms are clean and tidy and the breakfast good for the price. George and his staff always make you welcome and are a mine of information from the weather forecast to boat trips and bus timetables. Recommended.

We nearly couldn't get to Sfakia because of the Greek air traffic control strike, but in the end the strike was cancelled and we were so glad we could stay in this gorgeous small village. The hotel exceeded expectations as all the rooms have now been very well renovated, although the showers have no screens or curtains so the floor...

This hotel is an absolute gem. We arrived in Sfakia by ferry from Loutro and walked to the end of the harbour to find this quiet and clean hotel. Our room was huge and we had a beautiful balcony overlooking the ocean. All for a very budget friendly price. We decided to try the restaurant for dinner and experienced one...

Located at the end of the small charming harbor of Sfakia (accessible by car with parking in the back), the Xenia hotel is a very quiet family-run type of estate. Our room had an awesome sea view from its balcony. It was simple but very comfortable and cosy, including a large (renewed) bathroom - absolutely clean and tidy after every...

The family have been to Chora Sfakia for the last 8 years, and have always stayed at Xenia Hotel. The most expensive hotel in Sfakia, but definitely also the best. (Expensive as in: €60 / night for 3 people). Breakfeast is included in the price which is very much appreciated. We don't tend to book in advance, which means there's...
