This a great find! Run by two brothers, Miguel and Luis. My suite had a very Swiss Family Robinson/Hemingwayish feel to it. I could have lived there! You are a short walk from the main square one minute walk to the beach. I can't say enough nice things about this place and the service!

We just loved our warm, welcoming Hosts and the small inn is absolutely lovely, charming grounds, beautifully maintained. Quiet, close to gorgeous beach and short walk to town. High quality bedding made for a great sleep. Excellent breakfast included. Highly recommend Hotel Amar!

The hotel is a complex of a few bungalows faced a nice garden in the center. Some of them are ordinary one-room hut. But we booked a funny cabana with 3 beds on a loft and a room with kitchen area. The most important thing is a location. It's just about twenty minutes driving from airport. We dropped our luggage...

Excellent location just steps from the lovely beach of Puerto Morales and restaurants. The hosts were very accommodating and offered many suggestions for activities and restaurants. The breakfast each morning was something to look forward to and different each day with excellent coffee, pastries, fruit and yogurt and main course. The rooms were all unique with lots of room and...

Comfortable updated clean rooms. Some with refrigerators. Tropical courtyard with hammocks. Excellent service. Great breakfasts. Personable helpful family members who speak excellent English and, of course, Spanish. I will stay here again, if I can get a reservation. Seems as if they have many repeat guests.

We loved Hotel Amar Inn. We prefer small, quaint inns as another reviewer mentioned. Hotel Amar was wonderful, right on the beach, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfasts were excellent. We had a room at the top of the stairs with a sea view and balcony. It couldn't have been better for myself, my husband and our...

Friendly staff, available for anything. The hotel looks great but we only stayed one night. It's a bit hard to find, there is a small sign in the small street where it's located. Nice view on the beach

We are not the large, all-inclusive type. We like small, quaint locations. This place was fabulous. Our room was beautiful. Landscape is gorgeous, family owned and operated, delicious breakfast every morning. They make you feel like part of the family. Several of the guests that we met were repeat visitors - and we will be as well!!!

Many choices of rooms available, run by a friendly family that provides Mexican breakfast on the porch daily. A short walk to town, bars, restaurants, shops, fishing dock. We rented bicycles and rode to "The Jungle", the part of town where many of the Mexican and foreign workers live. Bars and restaurants on the beaches, fun and relaxing times.

We were just looking for a quick one night stop before heading to Merida. Miguel very friendly and helpful. Accommodations simple but did the trick. GOod A/C, good Wi-fi. Free breakfast fabulous. No dinner but great beach seafood restaurant very close. Steps from beach. Don't think we would have found it in the dark without GPS.

Thank Nancy S
