We traveled with a group here for a wedding. The wedding process was somewhat smooth until we got to the hotel. Once we got there we were told that the woman we had been working with was not there and that most of what we had discussed over the course of the prior months was “unconfirmed”. They tried to work with us, but ultimately we had to go over everything again multiple times, got stood up by the wedding coordinator for the rehearsal so had to do that on our own, did not get a private venue we had purchased for the bridal party, did not get the location we had requested for the cocktail party, etc. The wedding did turn out good, but there was a lot of time wasted on vacation trying to tie up loose ends that the resort had caused.

We loved the entire experience when we stayed at Dreams Resort. The staff were attentive and friendly, the hotel is great, and the setup is topnotch. We were there for a week and by day 3 we had some of the staff members greeting us by name. I don't know how they do that but it was pretty neat. It goes to show the attention to detail and the little things they do to make your stay special.

We just returned from our trip to Cancun. I just wanted to take a minute and say how wonderful the wait/entertainment staff by the pool were. I’m certain I can’t name all the wonderful staff but the two that stand out are Richie and Jesus. They always made my kids feel welcomed and encouraged to play the games. I visited Dreams Riviera Cancun (DRC) with my sister in May, 2021. Pre-Covid-19, I would usually take at least three week-long vacations per year at all-inclusive resorts throughout Mexico and the Caribbean. This was my first time out of the US in 18 months, and I set my expectations low, knowing that the world is still in the recovery mode. I can honestly say that the level of service we received at DRC was unparalleled to anything I have experienced previously anywhere! Somehow Rafael Cordova, the GM at the property, and his excellent team managed to surpass all of our expectations. The facilities were in tip-top shape. Everything was meticulously clean, the lovely grounds were well-manicured, and social distancing and mask-wearing occurred everywhere. The accommodations were great, air conditioning set to the perfect temperature, plenty of hot water in the showers, and housekeeping kept two messy women organized - restocking our supplies a number of times throughout the day. Because we traveled at the beginning of the warm summer season, the sargassum situation did make itself present, but daily passes of a tractor on the beach, along with hard-working attendants manned with rakes and wheelbarrows, worked on combatting Mother Nature all day long, every day. The activities at the pool provided nonstop fun and entertainment if you chose to take part. From water aerobics to volleyball to just grabbing a pool float, we could be as active or sedentary as we chose. Ernesto and Danny, the concierges, kept a watchful eye over all of the guests, making sure that everyone's needs were being met. In addition, Vicente and Rigo made sure that our drink glasses were full at all times, and Joel always made sure that we had an umbrella overhead when we were not lounging in a pool cabana. When we needed to get out of the sun for a bit, Oscar at the Preferred Club lounge would have our particular drinks in hand waiting for us as we approached the door. We both had massages at the spa and thoroughly enjoyed each and every minute of this experience. Andrea and her staff were very attentive to us throughout our spa day which started with Diana leading us through the water circuit. Julio provided my massage, while my sister's masseur was Aldo. If you request either of these gentlemen for your massage, you will not be disappointed! As for the food, I cannot even begin to describe the extent to which the servers and chefs made sure that we never went a moment without feeling hungry. From Jesus serving us breakfast at the World Cafe (it is still a buffet, but staff members are there to physically serve the food so no one else touches serving utensils), to multi-course meals at any of the restaurants (all of which were open every day throughout the entire week while we were there), we never wanted for anything. Abraham, the manager of El Patio, has assembled a top-notch crew with Leonardo, Ismara, Pamela, and Chef Palemon. Our dinner there turned into our entertainment for the evening, as we dined, drank, and visited with this group for the entire night. Not to be outdone by their Mexican counterpart, the team next-door at the French restaurant, Bordeaux, was also fantastic. Orlando will always hold a special place in our hearts for the care that he extended to both my sister and me. (I feel terrible that I do not remember the manager's name, nor do I remember the chef's name here, but they were also remarkable.) I do also want to mention Poalo who helped at Bordeaux and also took care of us at the Chef's Garden. The dining experience here was really nice, so be sure not to overlook this treasure hidden in the jungle. From the time we arrived and were greeted by concierges Adolfo and Alin, to Jerry (Gerardo) checking in with us every evening, we knew that this was going to be a special trip like none other. Gerson also did a great job making sure that anything we could imagine would be provided. I should mention here also that testing for Covid-19 before returning home to the US was streamlined and efficient. For those who are concerned about the swabbing process, the test itself was actually less invasive than testing experienced in the US. A hard copy of the results was provided within 10 minutes, and this was followed up by an email with the test results. This entire process was not a big deal at all. Yes, I know that I mentioned a lot of people by name. In fact, this review seems more like an advertisement for DRC than a review. I just feel it is so important to acknowledge and praise those individuals who provided stellar service. If you are questing whether or not to vacation at DRC, or if you already have your trip planned, I promise you that if you look for any of these fine folks that I've mentioned, you will undoubtedly have a "wonderful experience" just as my sister and I had. We will definitely be returning. In fact, I've already got my return trip planned for October! thank you Rafael and Dreams Riviera Cancun for this Wonderful Experience!

We enjoyed our stay with our family. The staff was great and the service with preferred was amazing especially Santiago and Carlos G. at the Preferred beach bar. Oscar in the preferred club bar . They always had a smile and were ready to help us relax for the week and enjoy our down time.
