A rustic spot in the woods. Actually, not my cup of tea, but clean and comfortable. The Lodge is quite nice and the breakfast was pleasant. The staff helpful and the trails interesting. We stayed in a queen fireplace room---which I would recommend. Unfortunately, our fireplace was attractive but did not draft well.

A tree-huggers bliss. It was a motel type experience -- older units, dated furnishings, nothing fancy, but all very clean, and when you step outside, you are surrounded by beauty, massive, ancient trees, rushing water, and nearby adventures. The units have little patios with chairs; it's nice to sit outside with a bottle of wine and enjoy the smell of...

The room was spacious, clean and reasonably priced. The lodge itself is surrounded by mature trees in a very quiet and peaceful location. Our stay was during the week so changing our arrival date was not a problem. Very friendly and accommodating staff! We will definitely stay here again.

Sure, Big Sur is one of the best places to visit in California, but that's the only reason why Big Sur lodge can charge you over $350 a night in a pretty run-down lodge accommodation. The service at the hotel is hit and miss - one night we had a really nice (not overly organized, but nice) waitress, but the...

My wife and I stayed one night at Big Sur Lodge and should have stayed several more as it is a great location from which to explore the surrounding area. The cabins reflect the solitude of the area with no TV's and limited Internet access for a fee available from an outside provider. We didn't need either are we were...

Nice little spot that's a hybrid between motor lodge and cabin. The room was not fancy, but beds were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a bit antiquated, and we had a little water damage to the floor. Room had a fireplace, and wood/starter was included. If you're there during cooler time, note that there is a space heater only...

Traveled in a large group and stayed in two family sized suite rooms. The suites were spacious and included a bedroom with a queen, plus a queen and two twins in the main living area. Furnishings are rustic and basic, but clean and adequate. With the great outdoors right outside, we hardly spent any time in our rooms :). The...
