Me and my boyfriend stayed in cabin 54 for three nights, and we loved it. So much better than we expected, (We didn't really thought we'd like to stay at a camping, but it just felt like we rented a nice cottage.) It had its own fireplace and felt newly renovated but in old, beautiful style. The bathroom was very... More

We just finished our third family reunion at this clean, well kept private campground. Some members of our party tent camp, some RV camp and the others stay in the cabins. The campground is tucked amongst coastal redwoods, jutting over a river. During the summer, there is inner tubing, swimming, lounging, a basketball court, a bustling playground with something for... Big Sur is a magical place so almost any place is going to be beautiful. But this camp is not what I thought it would be. The campsites are very close together. My first thought when we pulled in was "Eww, this looks crowded & junky" because you just see a lot of camping clutter cloistered together and not the... More

We stayed here in between camping at Sequoia and Yosemite. It is magical with the campsites nestled in the redwoods, and it is also pretty tight between campsites so if this is an issue for you consider yourself forewarned. We had a site on the river with a little path to the river and pebble beach. When we arrived there... More

We stayed here in our RV for one night and loved this beautiful place surrounded by beautiful woodland. The Park felt a bit crowded in public areas and in the rocky river next to the park which got a bit busy in the hotter parts of the day. But there is a lot of fun to be had on the... More

The day we arrived here the weather was blowing a gale and really cool on the coast. But it was warm and tranquil at the camp and we spent a lovely afternoon sitting by the river as the kids rode the tubes you can rent there for $1 an hour. A beautiful setting amid towering redwoods. I loved the clean... More

Camping here was a breeze and offered just the perfect location for hanging out in Big Sur. We camped here specifically because we were traveling with our Shiba Inu and their cabins do not allow dogs. We were just here for one night and it served our purpose. One is hard-pressed to find accomodations in Big Sur that allow dogs.... More

My husband and I booked a cabin at the Big Sur Campground & Cabins. We love tent camping but decided to upgrade to a cabin for our honeymoon ($240/night). The cabins pictured on the Big Sur Campground & Cabins website looked clean, simple and fairly remote. When I called to book the reservation, we were promised a quiet cabin. When... More

We go camping here every year and we live in Monterey. It is great in the summer -- it is warm when the coast can be foggy and cold. It has nice clean! bathroom facilities (flush toilets, hot showers) also: compressed air for filling up mattresses and inner tubes.. There is a little playground for the kids, basket ball court... This was technically my first time camping, although we did have an RV so it wan't real camping I'm told. But we had 2 sites (10 and 11) because we had a total of 9 people and a dog. These two sites were spacious because we had room for cars, RV and 3 tents. We mostly stayed around site 11... More
