We stayed two nights in the "honeymoon cabin" - the weather wasn't great, obviously the lodge can't arrange that!! The cabin was sweet, very basic in amenities - wifi so poor it wasn't worth trying really. Bed was very comfortable and the teeny tiny shower room was clean [ not sure a tall person would manage in there!] . We...

Loved it. Hearing the ocean when you sleep. Beautiful rustic cottages. The food the restaurent was amazing and so low key. Very special place. Walks along the ocean, right outside my door. I think we had room #8. I will never forget this trip

If you enjoy history the rooms in these lodges team with it and give you a sense of having stayed someplace interesting. No distractions, no amenities, just you and the ocean cliffs outside. Very charming, very memorable.

Definitely a "get away from it all" type of place. No phones, No TV, etc...CANNOT BEAT THE LOCATION. we were blessed with wonderful weather on our trip down Highway 1. Excellent views from the lodge. Rooms were better than expected. Very clean and a friendly staff. The fish n chips from the Lodge restaurant was extremely tasty, lightly battered and...

The best drive in all of America is Highway 1 between Santa Barbara and Monterey, California. And by far the coolest place to stay is Lucia Lodge in south Big Sur. It is on the ocean side and there is nothing, I mean nothing, on either side but gorgeous sea coast. Great views everywhere and you go to sleep listening...

We did a lot of research and read tons of reviews before deciding to stay here. We weren't expecting 4 star quality, and knew it would be quirky. We fell in love with the view and knew we couldn't beat the price. It's located further south of big sur proper, but maybe a half hour at most. Limekiln is just...

This is a nice simple hotel based in a remote location along the PAC Coast highway in Big Sur. If you want amenities, a pool and 50 channels of movies then go somewhere else. If you are looking for somewhere quirky, comfortable and with a spectacular view then bingo. We stayed one night and ate at the restaurant which has...

Scary - Restaurant smells like cat pee....did not sleep, did not change clothes, room is on a slant, everything is creepy including the staff, there is a nicer place up the road on rocky cliff just 20 more minutes with serenity and peaceful views....this place is rugged and rough and I felt unsafe

We spent the night in one of the four vintage cabins. I believe these were built in the 1930s and it does not take a lot of imagination to believe you are revisiting that time. Very basic but clean and safe. I could not raise the heat level in the cabin but the comforter was so good it was not...

My wife and I had a great time on our one night at Lucia Lodge on October 25th, 2013. Believe all the other reviewers about the location and the view here. It really is a gorgeous view of the southern Big Sur coast. I would argue that this coastline view is more picturesque then those in the supposed "heart" of...
