Room was ok, broken shower and water all over the floor when used. Single beds placed together. Come for the view and garden, dont come for overpriced food and wine. Ordered single course, smallest dish i have seen for that high price. Nice little spa section. On the plus side, the breakfast was good :)

Spent two nights there with family . The hotel is quite shabby - but the garden is nice and the view good. It was _one_ fixed summer menu at all meal that was not particularly exciting . My fiancé and I had a weekend together to get away from everything and relax. We took the opportunity to drive away from where we live and relax, enjoy the scenery and enjoy good food and wine. After checking in, we found our room to be dry. The beds were singles moved together to form something that resembled a double... More

We were supposed to check in by 18:00 but didn't get there until nearer 20:00 because of traffic and ferry timings but we called ahead, the recorded message was difficult to get through with us being English, but when we did get through the receptionist went out of her way to ensure us that it was no problem and even... A person who was Doing treatment tells you that you have a "fjeset" something in Norway is used for animals.. Otherwise we spent 3 days away from home and that gave us good time to have quality time... More

I have stayed at this hotel previously and been very satisfied with the stay, but was slightly disappointed this time. The location is great with wonderful view over the fjord. I also enjoyed several spa treatments, which was excellent. Dinners were also very tasteful, although the staff seemed stretched even with a 3/4 full restaurant. The biggest disappointment was the... I'm struggling a bit with the categories. In my opinion this is a 3+ or 4- hotel, not totally four, but also better than a regular 3. Let's take the good things first: Place: Hjelmeland is a very calm and quiet place, and the hotel feels peaceful. I really enjoyed the sea view. Definitely a place to go to relax... More

New hotel on the shore in Hjelmeland. 1-2 hours drive from Stavanger. All rooms with great view of the fjord. Small spa with pool, saunas and treatments. Free wifi. Ok restaurant, limited menu and fairly pricey. Late checkout Sunday, at 16:00. Not much else to do in Hjelmeland, except for shopping at the local Spar and watching the ferry crossing... More
