Disney's Pop Century Resort captivates guests with its unique, decade-themed atmosphere, complete with nostalgic music and whimsical decor. The hotel's cleanliness garners commendation, especially the well-maintained rooms and diligent housekeeping, though the frequency of cleaning services sometimes falls short. While the location is a hit for its proximity to the Skyliner and theme parks, some guests find certain rooms to be noisy.
The rooms themselves are cozy, balancing modern touches with compact space, but noise can be an issue for some. Service is generally seen as friendly and efficient, although not without occasional hiccups. The resort's value proposition receives mixed reviews, with the balance of affordability and exclusive Disney benefits not always meeting expectations when compared to offsite alternatives.

December 2023 Holiday Epcot Family Trip
Disney does an amazing job catering to guest with disabilities. We booked 2 rooms, 1 room with a roll in shower for a relative who has mobility issues. The room was located on the first floor in the 80s building.
It was perfect. The room did not have the slanted door which regular rooms do, which gives the room a few feet of extra space. This really helps to provide the space for a scooter. The beds are at a normal height which made it comfortable for her to get in and out of it. No need to climb into it.
She also had plenty of space to use her walker. Best part was the shower which had a built-in chair and all was within her reach.
Disney overall does an exceptional job in making guest with a disability enjoy themselves and have a magical trip.
January 2024 Epcot Solo Trip (Festival of the Arts)
I had a room in the 80s building also. Super clean room and very comfortable.
Love the spa like shower as it has a rain shower head and love the products.
SKYLINER:
This property is great as they are connected to the Skyliner which is a huge selling point for me.
We get to Epcot or Hollywood Studios within a 20min ride. You have tons of dinning options as you can get off at any other Skyliner Resort and enjoy their dining options.
PROPERTY:
I love the over-the-top theming which is what Disney is about. Large Characters make great picture moments. Landscaping is beautiful. While on both trips, we saw painting, pressure cleaning, and cast members taking care of the property. This explains why its so beautiful and taken care of.
There is a food court style for dinning which has standard type food. Hamburgers, pizza, pasta, etc. It is not terrible, but for those staying on a long-term stay, it might become boring. Use the Skyliner for other dining options.
Overall, this is a great Disney Resort because of the Skyliner. If you can get a great deal, I would recommend it. Cast members are very friendly and really take pride in their work.

We loved everything about our "preferred" room at Pop Century, and the resort as a whole far exceeded our expectations. It was our first stay at a value resort, so we were a little worried about the room size and possible noise from neighboring rooms. It turned out that the room was perfect for the two of us, especially with the extra large table that was part of the murphy bed arrangement. There was storage space galore, with all sorts of little nooks and plenty of shelves. It was the most efficient use of space we've ever seen in a hotel room. The bathroom area had only one sink, but it didn't feel at all cramped. We loved the shower with its glass doors instead of a shower curtain (much more sanitary, and no leaking!), and it was great to have two shower heads (rain and handheld). There were four big towel racks, too, which meant our used towels dried easily. We asked for and got a top-floor room, so it was relatively quiet.
Our building (#4) was a short walk to the main building with the lobby, food court, store, and arcade. The food court was a madhouse in the morning, but there were enough tables to accommodate all the families. Breakfast selections were fine (we liked the french toast), and pizza for lunch was okay as well, but we preferred going across the bridge to Art of Animation for dinner. Great merch and sundries at the Pop Century store (we even found hand sanitizer!), but it's best to shop there before park closing time, when everyone shows up to pick up their packages.
Building #4 was also very close to the SkyLiner station, and we loved the convenience of zipping over to Hollywood Studios and Epcot. Even though it was 90+ degrees and humid on one of the days we were there, the SkyLiner gondola was quite comfortable and well-ventilated. We didn't have a car and have no patience for buses, so we used Lyft to get to the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. The rides averaged $13 each way plus a tip, which we thought was quite reasonable. It very much worth it to get into an air-conditioned car at the end of a long day of park touring. The ride to and from the airport worked out to around $40 + tip.
Our only complaint concerns luggage service. We'd put our bags in storage on our last morning while we toured Epcot, but when we went to pick them up before going to the airport, it took over ten minutes for the young woman to get our bags; it shouldn't have taken more than a few minutes, since no other guests were there at the time.
The theme of the resort is great fun. We'll be meeting our son and his family there this summer and we know our grandson will absolutely love it! Can't wait to go back.

My dad and I Just stayed at the Pop Century Hotel and I am very upset at a few things specifically at this hotel. I was celebrating my father's 85th Birthday.
A) The fact that they make a disabled person picking up their rental Scooter at the hotel, stand on the same huge line with people dropping off their luggage outside the hotel lobby, is INSANE. They do not seem to realize that - The reason for the scooter rental in the first place, is that the person has an issue with standing and walking. Hence the need for a rental. There were 40 people in front of us on Sat morning at 8am and it took us 50 minutes to get to the front of that line. They should be ashamed. They need a separate, small lobby location with chairs for disabled adults to get the scooter rental and a valet type person to bring the scooter to the renter, at this hotel property.
B) I understand the need to charge a hotel customer for a parking garage space when you stay at a hotel that is downtown in a major metropolitan city like New York, Boston, Chicago, Etc. But to charge an additional $14 a day to park your car in an outdoor lot space in a Disney Hotel Parking lot on Disney property when you are already a paying guest at that specific Disney hotel is insulting and greedy. If you are a Hotel guest at other Amusement Parks and Attractions in the USA, you get a parking pass or voucher and need NOT pay for parking in addition to being a Hotel Guest. Disney owns the land, unlike the Hotel in downtown Dallas, Texas.
C) The price of many items at the food court at the hotel was extremely overpriced. When food is more expensive than at the airport for the same item, you know you are being gouged. For example, the hummas and pretzels container costs more than it does at the airports. Two pieces of white bread costs 99 cents. I understand that they have a captive audience, however with Disney’s buying power to overcharge for food this way is shameful.
D) I do understand that The Skyliner is a new and efficient way to get from this hotel to other areas. I noticed many Electric fans set up that will help cool down the people waiting in line and the cast members too in the summer months. However, the weather was extremely cold the 4 days we were at the Hotel, especially in the morning and the late evening, waiting for this mode of transportation to go back and forth , from place to place. Some cast members were wearing 2 coats, like my dad. The Imagineers need to install Electric Heaters by the waiting and staff areas for the Cold winter months.
I will say that at the parks we had a wonderful time. But I am not sure I would stay at this Hotel again. Compared to the few other hotels we have stayed at on Disney property over the years, this one was not connecting to the Disney Mantra.

Thanks for taking the time to let us know about your stay at Disney's Pop Century Resort. I'm very sorry to hear of the disappointments you've mentioned with your visit. We always want our Guests to enjoy every aspect of their vacation, so it's disheartening to hear about these issues. This was our second stay at Pop Century. I booked adjoining rooms for my family. Check in and check out were both quick and the employees were professional and helpful. Our rooms were clean and comfortable but had some minor issues. One room only had a shower instead of a shower/tub combo. We thought it was strange that the rooms were not identical. One room had a broken remote and when we called to report it, an employee immediately brought batteries to the room. We never bothered to call back to tell that the batteries did not fix the remote. We opted for a gift card for $10 for each night that we stayed to forgo mousekeeping for one room, and the other room was to be cleaned daily. Twice during our week, mousekeeping skipped the room that was to be cleaned daily. We didn’t complain (too tired after great days at the parks). When we requested more towels and blankets, they were sent to the room within minutes. The Skyliner makes it so convenient and quick to get to Epcot and Hollywood parks. The bus service was average to magic and animal kingdom. The food court was edible, but sometimes hectic. The pool closed at 8pm and most of the parks closed at 8pm. It was a very warm week so we were disappointed that we couldn’t take an evening dip after coming in from park close. Our rooms were quiet and the beds and linens were satisfactory. Pop Century has more of a moderate hotel feeling than a value resort like the All Stars. We wouldn’t hesitate to book at Pop Century Resort again.

Thanks for swinging by to share this review of Disney's Pop Century Resort with us, Suzanne. I'm so happy to hear your experience was absolutely magical, and that it was spent making so many magical memories with your family! The newly reimagined rooms are pretty amazing, and the Disney Skyliner is a great addition as well, isn't it? On the other hand, I'm so sorry to see you had a few inconveniences during your stay, but I'm glad to know our Cast Members were quick to assist when you reached out to them. It brings a smile to my face that you left with a great impression, and we can't wait to have you back again real soon. Pete Disney Social Reviews

We stayed 8 nights from end Jan to first week Feb and all I can do is gush about how wonderful our stay was. The food was super (Pot Roast and Meatloaf dinners are just so yummy!!), desserts always hit the spot so we definitely recommend the food court. Staff were outstanding! From check in where disappearing Magic bands were replaced quickly with vouchers, to maintenance staff who appeared with 30 minutes of hearing something needed addressing in the room to gift shop staff who LOVE pin trading - it was wonderful. We rarely used the Skyliner because when it fails, it's difficult for those with disabilities but we loved the ride for fun one afternoon and we also loved how close POP is to Hollywood studios to enjoy the shows and atmosphere there!! The room is well designed to satisfy just about any requirement a guest might have and the upgraded shampoo/conditioner provided to guests was very much loved by my hubby. We stayed in the 1990's and found the view of the inner courtyard wonderful and we are thankful our request of a quiet area on a higher floor was honoured. Parking was close by and the elevators were always very quick. We opted out of Mousekeeping but garbage was picked up daily and staff were asking us if we required new towels or anything else to make our stay more comfortable. There were many large groups but all were respectful of other guests and very well chaperoned. Thanks to all for making our stay such a happy one!!!

The first time you stay at Disney's Pop Century Resort, it is so much fun taking in all the reminders of decades gone by. Your second stay; however, is even more nostalgic as you reminisce about the memories you have made. It is so wonderful to hear we exceeded your expectations during your encore stay! We always want your vacation to be perfect, but I love to hear how our Cast Members go above and beyond to restore the magic when hiccups occur. Thank you for mentioning how our Cast Members had such a positive impact on your stay even when things went wrong. It sounds like this Resort hotel is a great fit for you, and I appreciate you sharing this groovy review! We hope you'll pop in again soon for another totally far out vacation! My family and I stayed at Disney’s POP during the beginning of the covid19 pandemic. We were traveling in for The Quest cheerleading competition. I must stay we were nervous about traveling but Disney made the trip so much more relaxing and enjoyable. The hotel’s cleanliness was impecable. The staff were constantly wiping everything down to ensure it was very sanitary and clean. The rooms were very nice (one king size bed and a murphy bed). The rooms aren’t huge but comfy. We opted out of the cleaning service and received a $10 per night gift card which came in handy for food and souvenirs from the gift shop. The property itself is very nice and well maintained. My kids loved the pool themes and activities. The shuttle buses ran on schedule. The skyline to Epcot and Hollywood Studios were super cool and a major deciding factor for staying at this property. The plus to staying at POP is you can walk over to the Art of Animation and explore (it was amazing by the way!) The only thing about POP I wish were different, is the food court. Although it was good, they should consider changing the food choices on a daily basis to give the guest variety on food selection. You can always go to Disney Springs for dinner or order Uber eats or door dash. Overall our trip was excellent and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay here!

I can honestly say without a doubt, I really love staying at Disney's Pop Century Resort. The nostalgia of all the decades makes for a totally tubular stay, so thanks for sharing with us! We loved this property! My family and I have stayed at many Disney properties and this was the first time at a value resort, Disney did not disappoint! I will start with how fun the entire property is! The grounds were beautiful, lots of Disney characters throughout and a beautiful lake you could walk around. The rooms are a clean and classic design, way better than I had imagined. The bedding super plush and 8 pillows for 1-2 beds. The showers were very nice and plenty of room around the sink area for all of our things(stayed at Animal Kingdom last visit very little closet place and no space around the sink for makeup and personal items ect). The bathroom and closet area had cubbies for all of your belongings to easily be put away and they still gave a large dresser. We enjoyed the music which was a mix of songs form the 50's to the 90's including some classic Disney songs. The food court offered traditional burgers, Italian food, amazing sandwiches and a carving station with turkey, pot roast and meatloaf(a nod to the 50s -60s) by far our favorite! The food court staff was all very personable. The new skyline transportation system was also a huge bonus, very easy and much faster and more enjoyable than the bussing system! Thank you Pop Century for a amazing stay! WE WILL BE BACK!

Thank you for visiting our totally rad Resort, Kris! The details here, both big and small, from the larger-than-life decor to the background music you may hear as you explore the property, are all designed to make your visit a fun blast from the past. I’m impressed that you even picked up on the subtle references, such as the Meatloaf from Everything POP Shopping & Dining, whereas others may not notice these details. In addition, although our rooms may be smaller than those found at our Moderate or Deluxe Resorts, they were recently redesigned to make your space feel as open and functional as possible. I’m thrilled you and your family found your room to be so comfortable. The overall experience is made even breezier thanks to the Disney Skyliner system to whisk you away to other nearby destinations. Though this was your first time trying out one of our Value Resorts, it brings me joy to hear it won’t be your last. We look forward to welcoming you back for another stay in the future! All in all, an accessible resort for a reasonable price, with one exception.
Following our Disney cruise, we arrived by Disney bus from Port Canaveral around 11:00am, an excellent experience. However, checkin is 3:00pm. Having last had access to a companion washroom on the Ship in the early morning, it became all too obvious that there is no public companion washroom available in the waiting areas Hard to believe, given that this property has been recently upgraded.
We were given access to our 'accessible' room just after 3:00pm and it was very wheelchair friendly, including a roll-in shower.
Given that the bus arrival times from Port Canaveral and the hotel checkin times are all pre-scheduled and under Disney's control, this issue s/b addressed.

I "shore" hope you had a magical cruise, Donald! Thank you very much for informing us of your later experience at Disney's Pop Century Resort. I truly appreciate the perspective you have provided in this review, and thank you for taking the time to share this feedback with us. I certainly understand how not having access to a companion restroom near the Resort lobby would be inconvenient, so please know I have shared this concern with the appropriate Leadership. However, I am truly pleased to know your room at the Resort had the extra space you needed and overall seemed to work well for you! Thank you again for writing this review, Donald. We certainly hope to welcome you back to Pop Century, or any of our Disney Resort hotels, again in the future! Kim Disney Social Reviews

I tried to keep in mind that this is one of Disney's value resorts, meaning that it is very family oriented. Kids and families are super loud until almost the middle of the night either in the rooms close by, in the walkways and out in the courtyards.
The rooms have been recently remodeled and are nice. I stayed in a standard room that had a pull out bed and a queen bed. The bathroom had a shower/tub and enough counter space on the sink.
The food court had basic foods like burgers and pizza during lunch/dinner and it was ok. Doing mobile order made things easier.
The shuttle services to the parks did take some time and in order to go to EPCOT or Hollywood Studios, you had to take the Skyliner on the backside of the resort.
Staff overall have been super friendly.
The theming to the hotel is also really fun and creative.
During check out and when I had my bags in storage, it was a bit chaotic and the line was long and took awhile. I was worried I was going to miss my time for the Magical Express to head to the airport. Fortunately a manager came over and made those with the bus time go to the front and get there bags.
In May, with the new pandemic protocols, cleaning services for the room was every other day, if you talk to the front desk they can alway arrange more/less services.
This was my first time staying at a value resort on Disney property and it is something I will keep in mind for the future.
In May, with the new pandemic protocols

Response from Disney Social Reviews, Owner at Disney's Pop Century Resort

Thank you for tuning in to share your experience from your recent visit to Disney's Pop Century Resort. I'm glad to read that overall you had a great visit and were able to create lifelong memories with your family. I do apologize that the noise level at this Resort was high for you. I recommend on your next visit speaking with our Front Desk Cast Members, they will be more than happy to assist you in finding a quieter part of the Resort to provide maximum relaxation. I also want to suggest that perhaps you give Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort a try. This locale is slightly more spread out to offer quieter surroundings and it also has a few more dining options that will give you variety during your visit. Thank you again for your review and we look forward to your next visit! Betty Disney Social Reviews

My son and I decided to brave the masks in the Florida heat, and we escaped to Pop Century for 3 nights! We’ve stayed at many resorts over the years, but decided we wanted to be more frugal with our budget and booked at POP Century!!! First off, our room was ready early when we arrived, which is always a nice surprise when it works out that way. The staff welcomed us home, which is always such a magical feeling, and as always, were so friendly and helpful! They made sure our magic bands were squared away before we got to our room, which is always reassuring. Our room was beautiful, you could tell they’d recently been remodeled, and it was clean with a modern touch! The pool was clean and refreshing on those hot days after exploring the parks. On our last full day, I lost my magic band at Animal Kingdom. The front desk replaced it within minutes, and we didn’t miss a beat!
I cannot thank everyone at Disney enough for the magical experiences we have every single time we visit, and for the special memories we get to make! I’m already looking forward to our next trip home! Thank you for finding a way to keep the magic during such uncertain times. ❤️

Hornchurch, United Kingdom1,432 contribution254 helpful votesWhat size are the Murphy beds please? I'm travelling with a three year old who we used inflatable bed guards so I'm wondering if they would need to be removed every time we put the Murphy bed up. If the bed is the same size as the standard bed then it migh be easier for us parents to sleep on the Murphy so the bed guards can remain in place.
Yes both beds are same size - queen mattresses. We left the murphy bed down all week and didn't use the table, there was still plenty of room to move around.
From the 5 days I’ve been there at Pop Century Resorts & at All Stars Sports Resorts in 2023. I haven’t seen any rental scooters of any sorts. Other wise with those resorts being huge especially for walking distance. You’d think half the people would rent scooters already. That being said. I’m going to lean more towards them not having rental scooters. I doubt that applies to all resorts in Orlando though.
Inside and we found the skyliner to Epcot and Hollywood studios nicer than the bus-less packed in and equally as fast if not faster.
