Nest 2 exceeded our expectations...from the time we walked through the door to the time we left. Set in an amazing location with breath taking views of Mt Roland and the surrounding area it truly is a beautiful place. The first contact with Des made us relaxed straight away and nothing was an issue if we needed anything. We will... More

My husband and I love our getaways and always look for the best view (after all, if it wasn't for the peace and tranquility with nature, we might as well be at home). We chose nest 3 as it was most suited for just the two of us. From the moment we got there, we felt peaceful. The view is... More

Wow!! While it is not very often that I am left speechless this beautiful retreat is beyond words... the world on the inside and Tasmania on the outside!! Thank you for your hospitality and sharing your beautiful retreat with the world, our views from every corner of the retreat were not only breathtakingly beautiful but far beyond imaginable. Thank you!!!

We arrived late at night to an open fire at the most stunning house we've seen. It was filled with artefacts and history of the well travelled owners Des and Dianne Brown. Eagles Nest II is by far the most glamorous of the three Nests having stayed at all three. We woke to the view in the attached photo and... More

Came here with my partner for three nights. On the second and third night, we had a private chef come (organised by the owner) which was truly amazing and I loved it! We enjoyed an terrific three-course meal and had a different chef for each night. The house we stayed in (see photos) was awesome. It had amazing views, was... More

After planning my partners 21st and first visit to Tasmania, I was over Ecstatic to have picked Eagles Nest Retreat as our first page here. Booking this accommodation was where our experience started, even though I planned months ahead - Des was very friendly and helpful with making my booking... i was already extremely excited by this point ( and... What an amazing find for my husband's 50th birthday. We were in Hawks Nest III which was simply stunning. The picture window from the main bedroom looking out over Mt Roland was jaw dropping, especially waking on the morning of his birthday to snow. A wonderful fireplace and heaters in rooms and bathrooms ensured we were nice and snug inside.... More

I rang to book a night accommodation the man seem annoyed that I was only booking one night and was quite off putting. Then when I explained that I had a gift voucher for a nights accommodation he was even more put out. Then not even two hours later the man called me back and said that he would not... More

I have had the privilege of staying in all three 'Nests" each with their own unique charm. I cannot believe the magnificent views. Whichever nest you choose to stay in the rolling and changing view of Mt Roland is magnificent. The outdoor spa baths for two are the best place to enjoy the view even in winter. Cold but as...
