Very much needing a relaxing holiday break that was in Australia and affordable for me,I was drawn to Prema Shanti. In the past I have stayed at hotels that have had 5 star ratings in Bali and Sth. East Asia, and indeed they were luxury accommodation but they had a sameness about them ,and if travelling alone they can be often...

If you are searching for a place to go deeper into your soul journey and are contemplating some of the other options around either in Australia or overseas- then look no further. Some local and overseas retreats can cost upwards of $2,500 or $3,000 for a weeks stay - include flights and car hire on top and maybe more! Not...

It's still hard to believe that just a week ago I was staying at this delightful retreat in the middle of the spectacular Daintree rainforest. I could only stay a few days but would urge anyone to stay as long as possible. After a couple of days you might start to dully embrace it only to be leaving shortly thereafter....

The experience was 5 star, however, if it's a 5 star pamper package you are after, this is not it. The facilities are basic, solar power, tank water, outside toilet and shower, undercover though and friendly frogs:)) Being kind to the enviroment is wonderful. Starting the day with Meditation and ending with Yoga, dinner and laughs. Great time to be...

I spent four nights with Janardhan and Mara and wish I could have spent four weeks. If you are on a journey of self discovery, spiritual or simply looking for a place to recharge Prema Shanti is the place for you. I was made feel welcome and cared for the minute I arrived. The location, food, vibe everything about this...

Four of us flew over from New Zealand to stay here. We all had little yoga experience and when doing the yoga classes felt very criticised and pushed beyond our levels of comfort. There was no encouraging. Rooms were basic and you needed to keep your mosquito net over your bed at all times or you would have been bitten...

These ladies won a prize that was run in NZ, 2 of them won the prize the other 2 tagged along because the prize was for free, and for four people. They had no idea what they where coming to, did no research, would have never had booked a yoga retreat themselves. The only reason they came was because it was...

I was looking for a quiet escape with Meditation and Yoga to escape the city life with rest and recover - and Prema Shanti was exactly what I needed. I stayed 6 days, which was perfect for me. You can easily fill your days with activities around the Daintree (Snorkling, ziplining, hikes, tours), however I preferred to stay in and...

I travelled 1100 miles from Brisbane after I heard about the magical Prema Shanti and I wasn't disappointed. Situated in the heart of the Daintree rainforest, this special little place hosted by Mara and Jahardan embrace guests with its calming energy and by the end of four days you have become "one of the family". I was escaping weeks of...

I can't say enough about my stay at Prema Shanti Yoga Retreat I arrived a 'stressed out Melburnian' needing to check out of the rat race for awhile. Mara & Jenardhan couldn't have provided a more caring relaxing restorative environment to unwind in. From the beautiful meals, lovely room, tailored yoga and meditation to the idyllic setting in the rainforest...

Prema Shanti (PS) is a wonderful place. If you like yoga and are open to meditation, then PS is definitely worth a visit. There is a nice balance between the yoga (about an hr and a half each day) and meditation (just a 1/2hr a day) on one hand, and having unstructured free time to pursue all that the Daintree...
