I spent two nights at Lungi's B&B. The B&B had been on my travel radar for a couple years and I finally made it back to Cape Town with the intention of staying at the B&B. Lungi's is not a B&B in the traditional meaning -- but rather more of a home stay where you are integrated into the family,...

Staying at Lungi's provides a fascinating window into the life of a township and the many hardworking people who live there in community. Our family of 5 had a wonderful time on our tour, enjoying dinner with the family and hanging out for an evening. The rooms are comfortable with warm showers. Lungi's family is lovely and we learned a...

In a unique environment we enjoyed the company of Gladys in the middle of the township Khayelitsha. The B&B is really clean and modern, with new facilities. We enjoyed to tour very much, we spoke with a medicine women (Sangoma), visited a school, saw a craftsman making flowers from tin cans and tasted the local beer. Never have i felt...

I went there with a group of people for lunch. The food prepared by Lungi was so great! The bread was amazing. The house has 4 rooms and it can be compared to some 3 start hotels that we can find in big cities.

Stayed there one night with my pregnant wife and five years old son! Lungi and her family and all of their neighbours were extremely welcoming and hospitable. Food was fantastic and the room was as good as any three star hotel. Will be back.

Lungi's What an incredible experience we had and all thanks to Gladys making us feel so welcome! We approached Lungi's with an unusual request, to help us to hold a wedding in Khayelitsha inline with their cultures and traditions. Glady's was happy to help and got to with the planning. She arranged for the school dance club to come and...

Stayed here with my 14-year-old son on last night of Cape Town visit on our way to Little Karoo. He felt very at home and we loved the township tour to see Golden The Flower Man who made a daisy for Jonathan out of discarded coke cans - he's quite an artist so don't miss. As for the accommodation, we...

We wanted to stay with the real people of South Africa, and it was such a good decision. We chose Nomalungelos guesthouse LUNGIs in Khayelitsha, and it was a wonderful experience, that we can only recommend to others. The atmosphere of the place was so friendly and warm, and Noma and her family went out of their way to make...
