Okay so what actually wasn’t wrong with this place. It’s in a really shady area, every single shop in the area was closed by 5 pretty much, every single floorboard was creaky, the bathroom had tons of bugs in even though there’s no windows in the bathroom, the taps didn’t work properly, you had to press the flush on the toilet at least 10 times for it to flush, the window was broken, there was no TV remote, half of the channels didn’t work at all, we were so freaked out by the place that we spent as much time away from it as we could. At least the bed was somewhat comfortable. Also it was really really hot in there, even opening a window did not help. And ps everyone in stoke is a terrible driver

Faulty Towers on crack !!!!!! Not expecting luxury for £37 a night but also not expecting this A lovely old building which is outdated and now being used to house vulnerable individuals on the second floor however, this is not advertised. There was an interesting smell which was a subtle mix of mould, bleach and damp. Woken at 0220 by a knock on my room door with two individuals trying to track down a leak. Given the client’s at the hotel I did feel unsafe They say a picture paints a thousand words so I would suggest you check them out

Very clean room. Comfy bed. All you really need to put your head down at night. The staff (particularly Mel) were brilliant, very helpful and friendly. Really good rates. I would definitely recommend

The room was small but clean. Basics but did have en suite facilities and a small tv. Carpark is adequate and got cameras. Due to the locality I would not bring children here the area is kind of rough. There are plenty of shops and is situated opposite a train station and walking distance to shops etc. The staff there are very helpful and kind. The other patrons seem to gather to smoke and drink outside, but are polite. I would definitely come back here again!! I gave 5 stars based upon my own experiences of this hotel but it is like a hotel for people who don't have much need for posh!!

I was a little nervous coming to this hotel after reading the reviews. Car park was big, no trouble parking and no one hanging around like we’d read in other reviews. Staff really friendly and welcoming. We paid £90 for 2 rooms (family room and single room). You do get what you pay for here. It’s a little cheap & cheerful, but not as bad as I was expecting on the whole. The door on the single room did not lock, but it closed and no one could get in from the outside. The door on the family room was fine. The single room did appear to have a little mould & damp especially on the ceiling- but the hotel is dated and could perhaps benefit from some TLC. Our family room had no damp. The radiator didn’t work properly, but still managed a warm nights sleep. Beds are really comfortable & there was no noise at all. There’s a kettle provided in each room with plenty of tea & coffee. Our bathroom was a little tatty, but not dirt enough to complain. And at 90 pounds for 2 rooms it was clean enough. Also the drainage system could do with looking at. The hotel doesn’t seem to provide breakfast, however theY do sell sandwiches. There was no remote for the tv so was unable to watch - but as we’d been to Alton towers we weren’t bothered and just wanted our bed! We had only just enough toilet roll for the night. Overall it was good for the money we paid, it’s budget. But what we wanted was just somewhere to sleep and we definitely managed a great nights sleep so would possibly think about returning as it’s such good value!

The room was 30% the price of the next competitor so it offered excellent value for money. It was also clean and pleasant. It's an old building and was unfortunately a bit noisy at night with other guest moving around and shutting doors. Overall, it's not the kind of experience the average tourist would enjoy.

ALL PREVIOUS REVIEWS ARE ALL TRUE! everything from non-securable rooms to smackheads hanging around in the carpark and the side of the hotel. this place is bad! the bad beds to the doors that BANG closed at all times of the night, its so loud you can hear it all over the hotel. we paid for 5 nights in the hotel plus we had paid for 5 days for 4 of us to go to Alton Towers, but we felt so unsafe we left 2 days early, we checked local hotels for rooms but to no avail. so we paid a family member to drive down and collect us this was another expense as we traveled down by train and had got return tickets. so we came home missing out on going to the park 3 more days and wasting all the money we paid on those park tickets too. but as I said to my family I can earn more money but I've never forgive myself if one of them got hurt. in total we spent/cost us an extra £532 in fuel and in unused tickets (Non Refundable) next time spent a little more and go somewhere else!

We are not usually fussy when it comes to hotels. As long as it's clean and we havbe a bed. But I felt unsafe here. When we arrived there were a group of young people hanging around the 'secure' car park. I was instantly on edge and spent the whole night worrying about if my car was going to be safe - or even there in the morning. The first room we were given, I felt like I had entered a horror film. Horrid smell and water streaming out of the flickering light in the bathroom. We asked to swap rooms in which the reception staff quickly dealt with. I wonder if they had even checked the room before or they knew it was coming. The next room we were moved to was nicer, clean but below the window there were a group of tents set up. The night was awful. Doors slamming into the early hours. People outside the window fighting, screaming. I was scared the whole night. I barely slept. We booked here as a cheap option for Alton Towers. IT IS NOT WORTH IT!! Spend £10 more and sleep in a travel lodge on the M5.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Stayed here for 4 nights as we was visiting Alton towers and other places in the area and was cheap for 4 nights but I won’t be staying here again. We was greeted by a member of staff that didn’t look to happy. we went up to the room and basically couldn’t get the door open at all. And while we was in the room we couldn’t lock the door. The window was hanging off it’s hinges and could hear everything outside the bed felt like it was falling apart. The room was rather clean but had very uncomfortable sleeps. 1 out for the 4 nights we actually got some sleep. The last night we was there. At 4am we was woken up by people banging about above us. The shower didn’t have much pressure and was coming out rather slow. Some sort of stains in the bath tub. You should pay more for a nicer hotel instead of staying in this dump of a place.
